Party of 9, 3 generations, from LA to FL... let's geaux!...COMPLETE

I have been going crazy waiting for a pin too!! I called and there was one in Ash's name but not in mine. That would of worked but it apparently is blacked out for the dates we need it. I want to stay in a Deluxe for our Honeymoon but if it comes down to it I will just be happy to be in Disney World and stay at POP! We just stayed there in December and it was a nice hotel! I want a bit more relaxation though since it is a Honeymoon! But what is meant to be will happen for us!

Reading your Trip Report makes me want to start one too but I am not sure what all to write and if I could keep up with it between school and two jobs! But I might try at some point!

I always hear such great PIN stories so I was really disappointed ours was not so wonderful for what I wanted, but that is ok. I agree with you about being happy just to stay at Disney! :wizard:

I understand wanting something a little extra for a honeymoon. :lovestruc

You should do a PTR. Just let it fit your life, don't worry about getting to it if you can't. Since I work from home on the computer all day is how I manage. :rolleyes1 Not that I'm saying I do this on work time. :surfweb:;)

I would definately read along! Congrats by the way also! :bride:

I will never tell that you do DIS on work time :rotfl: I am a Nanny for my niece and nephew during the day so of course I get online during nap time! :cool1:

I was on here reading Wedding Journals and Pre Trip Reports and figured I might as well do it! It will be a 2 for 1 since they are right after each other and a lot of the planning seems to be falling together lately!

THanks for the Congrats! Couldn't be happier!

So about a year or so ago. I honestly cannot remember how long ago. The Disney store had a sale on their graphic shirts like they do often. I discovered by mistake though that something on their site caused a pricing glitch and I got shirts for about $3 a piece. If you know Disney pricing (I'm assuming most of you do) that is a STEAL! :cheer2: It really was awesome and I tried to spread the word as quickly as I could. The glitch lasted less than three hours because once I decided I really should buy more they were priced correctly. Haha.

I decided it was such a good deal I bought two batches if you will. Sizing for the near future and sizing for further out. I think I bought about 30 shirts or so I don't remember. These are the smaller of the batches.

Trista took some pictures of the shirts for me. Pierce's size are definately going to work out great. Hallise is still growing though and the shirts are very long and thin, so we may have to break out the larger sizing depending on her growth.

Please excuse the wrinkles as these have been packed away for a while. :goodvibes

The kids will be good to go with some Disney gear before we even get there!

Just checking it to see how you are doing?

I love those t-shirts for the kids! I don't have any kids so I do the same as you and buy and buy some more for my niece and nephew! Before we went on our last Disney trip I made them both shirts and set a certain amount to spend on them in Disney! (After saying for the 3rd time I was done with their Christmas shopping..lol )

Hope you are doing well!

Thanks so much! You are so sweet! :flower3:

I have been sick the past few days with a migraine, so I have not been DISing at all. I had to force myself to work today, but I still have a killer headache that I wish would go away. :headache:

Enough whining! ;)

Yes, I too spoil my neice and nephew especially at Christmas time! They are rotten. :cutie: Have you started a report yet? :goodvibes

I am loving the toy story and little mermaid shirts :cloud9:

Thanks so much! :thumbsup2

I hope to have another post soon! :goodvibes

I've got to join in on this PTR. :) Sounds like LOADS of fun!! :)

Oh...and I'd like to see that lone cast member stop 10 gazillion people from exiting the way you guys did. Trust me, I would have done the exact same thing...stepped around them and been on my way. :D

No, no I have not started a report..Lol..I feel like if I do it will be a wedding/Disney pre trip report all in one! I actually was researching today and saw that the new thing for non-traditional weddings and even traditional weddings is to have a honeymoon registry instead of a traditional honeymoon! See if i had a report of my own I would be writing on there instead of yours...LoL!

I hope your migraine goes away soon! I know how those are! I have been so tired lately and worn out but that is what comes with 2 jobs and going to school full time while trying to stay on Dean's List! :scared1:

Aw thanks! I find our family to be loads of fun, but I am biased. I am one of those types that finds themself funnier than others find her. Hehe. :cool1:

I'm glad someone else thought the walk around incident wasn't too bad. :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

I started your report today, but silly work got in the way. :surfweb: I hope to catch up soon! :goodvibes

A honeymoon registry sounds friendly and like a good idea! Thanks for the well wishes. I have had chronic headaches and migraines since I was a child, but it seems you can never really get used to the pain. I know what you mean about working and being a full time student. I am still recovering from my business law class! Yikes! :teacher:

Slightly random, yet Disney related...

I am hoping to meet Cat Cora! :goodvibes

I have not eaten at Kouzzina yet, but have wanted to. I read on Cat Cora's website that she will be there on January 24th at 10am for its grand reopening after its refurb.

I made a 9:30 breakfast appointment and Jen took the day off so she can go with me. :yay:

I am super excited and hopeful!

I am slightly nervous though because I checked her site again and now it reads she will be there the 24th, 25th, and 26th... Really? All three days? Hmmm...

Hopefully it will work out. Her breakfast menu does sound appealing so either way it will just be a delightful breakfast with Jen, but still... I would like to snap a quick pic with Cat! :flower3:

In other random, yet not Disney related news...

My families attention has momentarily gotten off Disney! :scared1: Crazy I know!

My long term plan is for us to have the lovely big Disney trip this year and then to plan another big Disney trip with the whole family in 2014. 2012 and 2013 they are rolling out with the expansions and I know it will be craazzzyyyy. I figure 2014 is a lovely time for all the glitches and rushes to be over and not miss out on any of the new goodies!

That means of course 2 years of no Disney... (well for my poor non Florida living family that is... which I am hoping to change that fact! ;) )

We are much too close a family to not see each other though. I had the brilliant idea for us all to meet in the middle to spend a week at Pensacola Beach. It's where my sister and I grew up and called home for a long time. Its also where Jen and I have vacationed these past 5 years. If you have never experienced the white baby soft sands of Florida's gulf coast you are missing out! :beach:

My mom, sister, and I have been searching for beaches houses and after hours of research we found the perfect one with enough space, beach front, pool, fenced yard, pet friendly, not too costly... perfect! :woohoo:

My family is known for the types of vacation that makes you want another vacation. Our recent vacations were Disney, Washington DC, and a cruise. While they may not sound tiring to some we are a get up and go group and those were tiring!!! :upsidedow

One week on Pensacola Beach doing nothing but beaching, swimming, playing games, BBQing, eating out, etc etc sounds fabulous! Not to mention I am a beach bum through and through and consider Pensacola my second home!

Back to Disney... for so long this Disney trip was "next year". It hit us the other day that it is THIS YEAR! 9 months away! I know longer sound like the crazy Disney nut planning years in advance! Well... I guess since I'm planning 2014 thats not true... but oh well! :wizard:

Hope for some more Disney related updates soon. :cutie:

Random PS...

Has anyone seen the new Disney Florida Resident commercial where the Jungle Cruise comes to life?! :rotfl:

Its so cute! Do they only play it in Florida though? Was just curious. It makes me smile every time it comes on... the other Disney commercials where the kids scream and jump makes me cry because I think of my little squishies coming! (the neice and nephew)

I told my sister that when they get bigger I am going to steal them every summer for a fun week before school with Aunt Tarah at Disney! :wizard:

I am soooo jealous!! I have always wanted to meet her!! And since she opened her restaurant in Disney World I have wanted to go!!

I love beach vacations! One of the best I have ever taken was with my family when I graduated to the Outer Banks in North Carolina! That was a beautiful place! But I will say some of my favorite beaches are the beaches on the lakes in Michigan!

The Disney commercials are so great! I have not seen the Florida resident ones but I have seen the "memories" ones and they are so comforting and awesome to watch!

As the time for our Disney trip draws nearer I have decided it is time:hourglass for a "Lets Learn our Disney Characters" lesson.:teacher: My grandchildren Pierce and Hallise are all about some Disney, but they are a little lacking in their education. I am the Nana, so I will blame the Parents....hehe. I have a Disney movie collection rivaled by few at their disposal. They both know all about Mickey, Minnie::MinnieMo, Donald and the gang from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and don't forget the Imagination Movers. Pierce is practially on speaking terms with Nemo :fish:, Lightning McQueen and Mator...he is such a boy. Little Hallise :cutie:likes "mermaid" and runs around all day with her Buzz saying "to infinity and beyond!" When asked at naptime what movie do you want to watch it is always Buzz and Woody. (Buzz and Woody got lost at Nana's house.) Where are all the classics? :confused3It is time to learn about Aurora, Cinderella princess:, Mogli, Aladdin :genie:Arthur, Mulan, Dumbo :dumbo:and Bambi. We may have to remind the little dears that it is just a story when we get to the "scary" :scared:parts like Pinocchio getting ate by Monstro, Madame Mim changing to a dragon pixiedust:or Bambi's Mother getting shot. Every visit to Nana's will now include a new Disney movie popcorn::...there might be a test. By the time September rolls around they should have A's in Disney Characters 101.

I love this Marmee! :lovestruc The kids definately need to get caught up on all the great Disney characters they are lacking. :wizard: Such a good Nana you are!

I think this is a great idea Nana! And what do you mean, blame the parents? I must redeem myself! One new Disney movie a week until Disney! :thumbsup2 Whith both of us, we should get most of them covered by the trip! :rotfl:

I see one you missed..Lol..It is a new one but "Tangled" :cool1:

Yup..I went through all 4 parks in my heads and the rides and "meet and greets" that I could think of and they were all on your list!! :cool1:

Started watching a documentary this morning about how in the 1940s the government funded a trip for Walt Disney and a group of 18 people to go to South America to better the two countries relationship during the war. He used it to inspire new work that the government backed him on. The group was called el grupo by the hotel and it stuck. Walt took advantage because he was losing money after building a new studio after Fantasia and Snow White. Plus all his animators were on strike! The documentary is called Walt and El Grupo. I haven't finished it yet, but so interesting!

Has got me in a lovely Disney mood today! Makes me want to read more about good ol' Walt. The man behind the mouse... really is an inspirational guy! :wizard:

One thing checked off the list for our trip today was reserving Tucker a spot at Best Friends at Disney.

She stayed there over Thanksgiving break and we were very pleased. She came home with two report cards. One in general and one from being in play group. There were a few small hiccups I had with them but nothing major. I had a scoop in her food as it was the right amount she was to be fed each day and while we got the food bag back the scoop was not in it. She has food allergies so the thought of them using her scoop for other food erks me a little and if they did why didnt I get my scoop back?

The other thing was that we told them to notate Tucker is a girl. On everything we got it says he and while we were there they all said he and I constantly had to correct them.

Also they do not allow them to keep their collar on and they put a paper collar on them. They were not careful enough in doing this and we had to cut her fur to get it off. :sad2:

Those may seem like silly minor things to people, but they matter to me. Maybe to help you understand, when we dropped her off for our Thanksgiving trip home I cried. Not just a little. I sobbed in the car... :sad1:

Lastly they did not give us the discount for being premium annual passholders. I did not know one existed until today when they asked me. Not huge, but big enough that I wanted to ask for a refund on the difference from my last visit. I didn't though. I wasn't that shameful... :rolleyes1

For the same price we paid last time for a normal room and all the add-ons we chose, we are getting much more this time inclusive.

I reserved her a villa which includes a play group once a day, a flat screen tv with dvd player, and nightly turn down biscuit. The villa is also its own room so she wont be bothered by a ton of dogs surrounding her in kennel. (picture a bunch of caged rooms stacked and lined up down a hallway) Dont get me wrong they are nice and everything. It will just feel more homey for her this way. Since it will be for over a week and not just a few days we are going this route even though it is pricey.

I didn't mean for such a simple post about Tucker to get so long. Sorry! Hope everyone is having a good start to their week!
