Party of 6

I'm looking for options to get 6 adults from MCO to Pop Century. It doesn't have to be the least expensive option, but cost is going to play a large role in the decision.

We're accustomed to the free bus transportation that Disney used to offer, and I'm aware that no longer exists. The Mears round trip option at $33.60/person is very similar to Disney's old program.

Are there other companies we should look at? I saw one that uses a Suburban for 6 people. The people would fit but the luggage would be pretty tight in that, wouldn't it?

Thanks for your help.

Like someone mentioned above, if you book with a livery service, you will need to go with a company that has vans. We are a party of 6 but most SUVs can fit luggage for 6. We booked with Away We Go. I think it was around $280 roundtrip including tip, a stop a Publix, and a car seat. I know cost is a factor but though I would mention it so you had an idea of what the approx. going rate for a van is.

I feel that is a pretty good price

I would book a car service that has vans. Mears comes to mind; their luxury vans seat 8 passengers and have plenty of luggage space.
If I'm looking at it the right way, the van will be less than half of the cost for 6 separate fares on the Mears bus!! Thanks.
That is a very good price. The only thing with Away We Go is that they don’t meet you at baggage claim since they have larger vans.
I must be looking at something wrong. Here's what appears to be a Mears van for about $75, one-way.

What are the differences in service? I guess I don't see any (other than price)
The black vans are more luxuriously appointed. Leather seats, etc.
The black van drivers will meet you at baggage claim, and escort you (and help with luggage) down to the van, waiting in the Express Pickup lane. They’ll also be there waiting for you early at the resort to take you back to the airport.

Thanks, that's very helpful!

We have been using Happy Limo and they do offer a choice of vehicle. There were just the two of us on our recent trip and we were picked up at arrival with a VW Atlas and on departure in a Suburban (we hadn’t made a specific choice, but both vehicles were fine). They are not inexpensive, but we’ve been very pleased with their service.

We would prefer a less expensive option, so I'll probably go with the $75 (each way) Mears Taxi. We can schedule the pickup time. We will carry our own bags. We don't need to stop for groceries on our way to the hotel. We're ok with it not being a luxury vehicle. Does anyone have any green or red flags about this decision?

Don’t forget to add in a 15-20% tip for a taxi van.

Personally I’d be concerned doing a taxi because metered fare if traffic is heavy could get ugly if they take time into account. Wouldn’t matter much if they only charge by the mile though. I would just do 2 rideshares and call it a day.

The meters go by distance and time.
