Tonight Talya decided she wanted to brainstorm for her birthday party (Dec. 2) :rolleyes1 . Anyway, she wanted to do a scavenger hunt, but I vetoed that. So I came up with an idea for a 'Miss America' party, since it is a month before we go to 'Miss America'. All the girls would come prepared with a little talent, a bathing suit and a nice dress. Then after the competition, we could go out to eat. I figure I can get each a little tiara and my Mom can make them all sashes. I want to have enough areas so everyone can be a winner. Any ideas of catagory winners? We are planning on best talent, dress, bathing suit, best smile, interview...I need a few more ideas. Talya will win Miss Birthday.

Any other ideas you have will be appreciated! :goodvibes

How about a Miss Congeniality?

Good ideas so far... the only one I can think of is Miss Congenality (sp).. maybe you can give this to the little girl who is the most supportive of all the other girls... Or what about Miss Creative.. give them a poster to design best describing themselves or their favorite something, like favorite princess, favorite dinner, favorite cartoon..
Sounds like a fun evening!! :)

Oops PrincessNancy96 - we must of posted at the same time.

Miss A-Friend-indeed, Miss All Star Sports or Miss Athletic, Miss Quite, Miss Ariel (best voice maybe), How old is your daughter maybe they could be Miss and a disney character name and then have them equal to something.... Miss Tinkerbell is Sassy, Miss Ariel best voice, Miss Snow White eats all her fruits and veges LOL etc Anyway.....

I am loving these ideas. The girls are all 9. We will probably only have 7 girls, so I am excited with these ideas. I love the creative idea and might let them make a creative birthday card and put out lots of scrap materials (goodness knows I have enough)! You guys are awesome! :thumbsup2

This is a cool idea! What about Miss Diva--like for the one who sort of hams it up the best? I can't wait to hear about this party!!

OKay thinking back hard..... this year 11 yo stepDD was Pirates of the Carribean... 10 would have been beach party... so that makes 9 Lilo and Stitch or was that the "blue" party year.... LOL

DD loves scrapping with me now not very deatail oriented or creative like... lets just get the pages done Michelle.... anyway She always loved doing the foam craft kits and stuff. "Girls Night" was and is always popular. At nine you just can't really go wrong, just as long as you have stuff for them to do and munch on.

Have you seen High School Musical that is really big... maybe a party based around that??
