Party Food

I need to take some food to a football party **GO STEELERS**

I'd like to take some sort of kid-friendly side. I'm already doing pasta salad & dessert. And it must travel well, party is not at my house this week.

Ideas?

My kids like the crescent roll hot dogs. They are easy to make and reheat well in the microwave. I think you can easily find the Pillsbury recipe on the web.

You know, We have those all the time but I never thought to make them then just microwave
They never last long enough to need reheated at home

pizza dip is a hit with the kids around here. I normally make one for the kids and one for the adults.

spread cream cheese on a microwave plate. top with pizza sauce and shredded cheese. Then you can put the other toppings on top. MIcrowave for 3 min. and serve with crackers. Yummy!

GO STEELERS!!! I make Buffalo Chicken Dip and it is always a hit.

Something I always make that is a huge hit is tortilla roll-ups. I take a large soft shell tortilla shell and spread cream cheese on the bottom and then add salsa and mexican shredded cheese. Roll up and cut into slices. They are a little messy to make but well worth it.

Another one that I make is "crab ball". I use 2 soften bricks of cream cheese with 3 cans of crab meat (the kind found with the tuna) and a little cocktail sauce. Mix together and form into a ball and chill over night. Top entire ball with coctail sauce and serve with either crackers or tortilla chips.

Not typical, but we always bring fresh cut fruit; pineapples, grapes, strawberries, & blueberries travel best (& require the least amt. of prep) ans people go crazy for it. If you want to jazz it up a bit, put it on bamboo skewers.
