I guess all good sagas have to start from the beginning..........
My youngest son wanted to be a clone trooper for halloween-ok , so I look at stores and no one has the captain rex outfit he wants in a 12/14....so by Oct 19 I'm online and see that party city has the costume, and his size and an extra belt thingy if you buy it from them. ok. Even better, if you spend so much you get 2nd day air free.....right on....so we'll get this thing by thursday/friday 21-22 at the latest. Well.....thurs goes to fri goes to sat and noooooooo rex. my friend at work says they are innundated w/ orders, hers wasn't out yet either.....so I wait until mon pm.....nothing. So I call and get a girl who can't understand why it didn't go out then a manager who figures out that one thing or the order they cannot locate in the warehouse and the whole entire order sat there.....no email or nothing @ this point that anything is wrong......so I tell her she can delete the one thing off and send the rest---I need the costume by thursday for a parade....she assures me the she will fix everything and will ship the rest out tomorrow (tues) overnight so I have it by Wed..................can you guess where this is going????
so by wed at 6 pm I'm on the phone with the second manager and she can't understand why it didn't ship and will put it thru to overnight again......by this time I'm done , past irate, explain even if she does manage to get someone to ship it , it won't make it for the parade.......on hold again (and btw their hold musiac sucks soooooo bad----I was on hold for a while so I let my husband hear it. He was convinced they did that so people wouldn't hold at all, and just hang up!!!!!) Anyway , while I'm STILL HOLDING, my husbans calls yet another party city @ an hour from us and they have 1 left, so when I finally get the Manager back on the phone I tell her I'll go to this store if she just cancels my order and doesn't change my cc----She wholeheartedly agrees to this apologizes profusely......yadda yadda.
We get to the store and then have to wait in all the crazy lines-----
(why I decided on-line would be better----silly me!!!)
get the costume and all is well with the universe........except then this wouldn't be a full saga.........
I'm out of town friday , worked sat and come home from work and my husband is all smiles at the door "GUESS WHO GOT A PACKAGE TODAY???
I was so angry I just threw it upstairs.....
I opened it tonight and yep another rex is staring at me.......
so on the phone AGAIN with yet another manager and awful musiac.......and She doesn't understand why they SENT IT cancel order on it and all on the computer from wed!!!!! Anyhow now they've essentially made me pay for 2 costumes and I'm LIVID (oh yeh, they charged my card!!!)
so now they are going to send me (yeh right, I've seen how the first three send me's went down....) a ups label to ship it back to them ----
Yea, get in the car with the box you no longer wanted and drive miles to the nearest ups store ------and then when they get it and confirm its complete , it will take 5-10 business days to get my money credited back who -hoo
This is not a back breaking amount of money i'm just fired up that they can consistently screw up multiple times and then the managers don't know how??? I'm glad none of them are doing brain surgery-----know what i mean???!!!!
So in the end we'll see if I even get a shipping label or a credit for that matter
