Just curious. I was at what was MGM in Dec. and participated in a 10 minute survey. During the survey we were asked where we were staying (BWI), where we've stayed in the past (AKL, CBR), would we return within a year (yes) and where we would stay if we returned.

Well wouldn't you know that there was a 40% code attached to my name when I called last week. I've been waiting (and looking, and calling) for 3 years for a code and suddenly it appears:)

Makes you wonder if there is a connection?

Also received a follow-up email which we completed. Has this happened to anyone else?

I also did a survey in the park when we were there last August. I got a follow up email as well with another survery in NOvember. I missed this one,as I was wayyy to busy with school work to even look at my email. By the time I got it, it was expired..:sad2:

I too, thought that this was a way to get a discount. However, when I called I only had a 20% discount. Have you received any other surveys by email, or just the one? Do you think I should call back and see if I have the 40% off code?

I am also wondering if you receive a 40% off code if you would receive it again the next year.

I really could kick myself for not seeing the email sooner.

That was the first survey (in the park and the email) that I've ever participated in. I have done the mini-surveys at the end of a call into CRO. I find it interesting that you were surveyed in the park and also received a code....hmmmm?

And yes, I think it wouldn't hurt to call and ask if there is a code attached to your name, that's how I found out! Good luck:)

I was asked twice  The first time though when he found out I was a single mom, he said we couldn't do it, that he had all his quotas, and needed a family? or some other lame reason. :sad2: Needless to say I was upset and really wanted to do this.

The next day, we were approached again and my friend who was travelling with us said no, I said sure. I know how marketing works, so I was all for it.
He asked if we would book a package again and I said sure! lol It was our first trip  :dance3:

I think I will call to see if I have the 40% off. If not, I may have to cancel and wait a year.

I've participated in these surveys and have never received any code other than the public codes that are released from time to time. :sad1:

I did a survey in Oct '06 and twice in May '07 and I have never received anything from Disney in a form of a discount postcard!

For what it's worth, the CM I spoke to said that they don't always come by mail or email, but can tell us about them when we call. She had my correct email and verified it, and asked if I wanted any special offers mailed to me or emailed. She also looked at my online profile and saw all 5 offers that I had saved. :lmao:

I only received 20% off and was trying to spit out the words to ask for the 40% but couldn't do it. Immediately after the call I received an email confirmation. 5 mins later I received an email about shopping.

I have also called to see if there is a code and there hasn't been anything; no post cards in the mail, no e-mails, no code when I call. I must be in the wrong demographic - over 50, kids are grown, no grandkids yet.

It's interesting that you mention that. Last month when we completed the survey, we had our grandson with us...

I participated in the survey @ MK in August...ordered the new planning DVD a couple of weeks ago.... I'm registered on all the WDW websites, I've been 18+ times.... never, ever got a postcard and called today in hopes that MAYBE there was a pin attached to my name..... nope :sad2:

My DH and I participated in a survey at Downtown Disney when we were there in Nov. We were also there with our kids in April. I called the other day and there wasn't a discount.:sad2:

Did you get a code?

Yes, there is a 40% code attached to my name (room only). We booked 5 nights in a GV at GF for Sept 18-23.

What I find interesting is we have gone to WDW the past 2 years with our grandson and stayed onsite (AKL and BWI). During the park survey they asked us where we would stay during our next visit and we mentioned a MK resort. I wonder if we meet a certain demographic since we are now traveling with our grandson. It makes sense that Disney marketing would want to tap into the baby boomers discretionary income, doesn't it?

I think I'm in the right demographic - preschool and school age kids - but still nothing. Did a longgggg survey on-site last August - nothing. I seem to get ALL the emails for shopping, getting travel DVD's (which I sign-up for because I  them!!) but still nothing.

I did call to see if we could get any type of special or promotional deal and they did extend one. THe CM kept saying it was 40%, but the numbers didnt work out to that. I even made her do the math, and in the end she admitted it wasn't....:sad2: We're now doing off-site... bummer....:guilty:

Good luck to us all that pixie dust blows in to help us!:wizard:
