Saturday Afteroon Dec 6th - My Dad and I headed off with the map to find Beltz outlet. Since my Dad and I both know everything and are always right and both of us excel at backseat driving when the other is at the wheel, this should be an interesting drive. My Dad chose to drive and I had the map. Our biggest fear is Mom is not along to serve as the peace maker.
An early holiday miricle occurred, We made it to Beltz without incident !!! I have to say If I wasn't spending a "freakin fortune" on the GF & WDW I could have done some real damage at the designer outlets.
I limited myself to the Disney's Character Warehouse. I blew $77.41 on a polo sytle golf shirt, 2 t-shirts, a festival of lion king CD,(all for me) 15 pens with disney characters (for my staff) and a mug (for my secretary).
I highly recommend the character warehouse. The selection of merchandise is very limited but if your are not too picky you s/b albe to find souveniors.
For example - the children's slection of clothing was mostly summer outfits and holloween costumes in all sizes and very very low prices. If I had kids I would have stocked up for next summer.
Big thanks for the Dis boards for recommending Sweet Tomotoes. Dad and I had a nice early dinner there. We did get totally lost attemting to find it. We only had a minor agrument about directions.
At the intersecion of I drive and Kirkman Road we went left and of course we should have went right. We discovered that Kirkman Rd dead ends in a Lockheed Martin Plant. It seemed real odd seeing this massive industrail complex in Orlando. When I picture Orlando I see palm trees, pools, WDW, not a Lockheed Martin Factory.
