So, picking up where I left off, we head over to the room, lugging all our luggage. We had the 70's building, room 0138. Although I had seen many photos on this site it's hard to picture everything until you actually see it. It was Great Fun! We get to our room only maybe 20 minutes after check-in and lunch and the crib is waiting for us. The room isn't as small as everyone says it is. However, what it is with the Full Size Beds? Have they seen the size of hubby? He's 6'7 and doesn't fit on a queen size bed! The room is very clean and directly across from the playground. I allow the kids to go explore the playground (I left the door to the room open). We quickly got settled and left for Animal Kingdom.

Traditionally we always go to MGM the first day because I feel it's the smallest park and easily done in one day, espicially when you are tired from the airplane trip. Well, DH has decided that I plan too much and he figures that we will get more done if we do AK first. That's fine, I need to prove that ds7 doesn't get his OCD from me.

Our room was a very quick walk to the single bus stop at the Pop. I am really loving this hotel, and continue to love it the entire trip. As soon as we arrive at the AK stop the bus appears. Once we get to AK a whole bunch of characters are outside. I can't remember exactly who was there but the lines were very short and we took a bunch of photos. Has anyone else "experienced" Pluto? I swear that he got a little fresh with me.

Once inside the park we headed directly to Dinoland. I rode the ride directly across from Primveal Whirl, but DID NOT ride the Primveal Whirl. Oh, sorry for all the spelling errors, I'm nothing wihtout spell check. We rode Kali River Rapids. After watching DH and kids ride it I took the plunge and rode it. It wasn't bad at all! Oh, while I was waiting for DH and kids to ride I used DP to buy a bottled water, the scanning machine wasn't working so the manager gave me the water for free-the magic continues (and I think ends here)

We head over to Dinosaur, again, no wait. Of course I send DH and the kids, keeping the baby to myself. While waiting for them I notice a few people chicken out of the ride. My family comes out and are pretty much all shaking from the fear. We buy the photo because the look on their faces is priceless. We head over to Bugs Life (something I've never done). We hit it just as a show is beginning-this is a trend on our trip. Unfortunately the baby who actually likes scary things is too freaked out, so I leave with him. Once outside I meet two other moms with small kids who were scared. Another few moms join me shortly thereafter. The show was very short and according to the family they didn't appreciate the surprise ending.

As we are heading out of the show we hit the parade! It's getting close to our ADR forChef Mickey's so we head over to the Compt. Bus stop so we can check in early.

We wandered into the hotel and looked around a little bit. I'm putting my flame suit on, although the hotel is on Disney property and is very pretty and cool I don't think I could justify spending the money. I really like the atmosphere of the Pop and Moderates better! We check in, wait only 10-15 minutes and have our family photo done. We had been travelling since 4:00 a.m. and it was now about 6:00 p.m. Needless to say we didn't buy the photo, but thinking back I should have just to show how bad we looked :rotfl2:

We were led to a room which is up a few stairs and overlooks the MK. Unfortunately our room didn't have a view of MK, but the view over to the GF was beautiful enough. THere was waayy too much character interaction at this dinner. I know, I know, that's what we paid for, but during every chararcter meal I had to kindly let them know we had enough! Food was medicore. We all found things to eat and beleive me we are not picking, except ds7, but give him fries and ketchup and he's good. I was a little disappointed in the parmesean mashed potatoes. Every review I've read said they were to die for. I thought they were a little gluey and just good.

Dinner for 2 adults and 2 children (baby was free) came to $107.00! Thank --od for the Dining Plan. I left a waitress a tip based on this amount, even though I know tip is included I couldn't bring myself to walk out of a resturant without leaving something (this is another trend you will see).

Let me tell you what a pain it was to get back to the hotel! We took the monorail to the TTC where we had to exit the monorail, walk down the ramps, back up a different set of ramps, then take the monorail to EPCOT and then walk to the bus stop.

Once we finaly got back to the hotel the kids were dying to go to the pool. DH offered to take the kids to the pool so I could get the baby to sleep. Oh, I forgot to add that in order to fit the crib we simply pushed the table closer to the tv and put the crib up against the wall near the table. It fit perfectly.

Well, the family (minus me and baby) left for the pool and were in less than 10 minutes. DH looked a little like this :furious: Apparently ds7 jumped into the Hippy Dippy Pool and began yelling "I'm drowing, help" he was yelling this despite standing on his feet. The pool is only 3.5 feet deep! He wouldn't stop and apparently the lifeguards didn't find this amusing. DH swore he would not take DS back to the pool.

WHAT IS THAT STUFF THEY TRY TO PASS OFF AS COFFEE? The next morning I head over to the Food Court to fill up our mugs while everyone gets dressed. Being the organized person, (and partly because on our last trip I only packed my dd 2 outfits and was forced to buy her disney clothes on the trip) I decided to pack complete outfits in viplock baggies. Thanks for the tip I found it here. Unfortuantely as we were going at the end of January I had packed shorts, read trip reports, unpacked the shorts and packed pants. Well, it was very warm on this trip, which meant taking a complete set of clothes, minus the pants, out of the baggie, rewearing one of the two pairs of shorts I packed and then going.

We have ADR's for Ohana's for breakfast. This has became a tradition for us. We get there on time for our reservations and are quickly seated, after taking our photo. Did I mention we all wore matching red Disney shirts purchased for $3-4 at the Disney On-Line? DS is a huge fan of Lilo and Stitch and really enjoys this meal. I think our server left something to be desired. I haven't mentioned yet, but it will become obvious, ds7 has some medical problems (severe ADHD, PDD and a mood disorder in addition to sensory issues). Well, today the whole disney experience is starting to affect his senses and he is a little hyped up. He just can't stop talking and asking for more chocolate milk. The waitress was not very good. She took forever in getting our drinks, checking the table and we never did get fruit, which I loved. But by this time we are way overdue to leave. She then took forever with the check, apparently there was a problem with the DP charging to many credits to my plan. All fixed she promised. Of course I leave an additional tip, although I was temped to not.

I just had to ask dd which park we headed it after breakfast. It was MK. We headed to tommorow land and rode the speedway (my first time). Then the DH and dd rode space mountain. We all rode the transportation transit and watched the show in the moving theatre (sorry, I can't remember the name). We headed over the Cosmic Ray's for lunch. The lines were pretty long but moved quickly. We got double cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, fries, carrot and chocolate cakes and drinks. I total came in about $30-40, all on the dp. Pretty good food, due to convenience we eat here a few more times during our visit.

We head back to the hotel for a rest and dinner.

I'll finnish up soon, kids are now at hte front door wanting to rollerskate (it's 8:16 am. here)! Good thing I live in a pretty busy neighboorhood.

wow you did alot already......thanks for your report.....and YUP we love Cosmic Rays too....wish they would bring back their steak and cheese subs and then with the fix in bar....YUMMY........thanks again

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

Great Trip report.. you pack a lot into a day (and a post). I have one small tip for you (and everyone else). If you are at the Contemporary and want to get to another hotel, walk across the street to MK and leave from there. I did what you did once but while on the monorail I realized we could walk to MK. It saves so much time!
