Part 2 - Arizona vacation pics (Sedona and the Grand Canyon)

Here are some more pics from the second half of our vacation in AZ, again all taken with my K100. After spending a few days in California we flew to Phoenix and drove up to Sedona which is where we spent most of our week along with one night at Kachina Lodge in the Grand Canyon, both of which were incredibly beautiful but incredibly hot!! The Grand Canyon wasn't so bad, upper 80's but Sedona was around 105 every day.

Slide Rock State Park in Sedona which was one of the few bodies of water we saw, all the creeks are dried up. This picture is actually at the foot of it but Slide Rock is a natural waterslide, very neat (but a bit bumpy going down!!).

Some nice shots!! We were in Northern Arizona a few weeks ago and had a ball. Great country!

One observation from our party driving around; "Wait 10 minutes and the landscape totally changes"!!

All of them are nice but I like the two of the squirrels...gutsy little thing out on the branch like that. How did you like the K100?

Beautiful!! What a change of pace from Maine. So scenic. The wildlife shots are great, and I do like that wagon wheel shot, simple.

Oh your pictures brought back some wonderful memories. I have to get mine out now and look at them! I have the Dangerous Overlook picture too. I loved the Pink Jeep tour in Sedona, but I wish we would have looked into the balloon ride. You next trip should be to Bryce Canyon and Zion. Another beautiful place!

We just returned from the Grand Canyon about 3 weeks ago. We also took a day trip to Sedona, so all of your photos look familiar.

In fact, I think I have some pictures that look similar to yours.

Especially awesome was your picture of the California Condor!! Great work!!

Jeanne - WONDERFUL shots! We visited the Grand Canyon back in 2004 and I can't wait to go back - after seeing your pictures, we'll have to visit Sedona, too. Beautiful country!

How in the world did you get that picture of the Calif. Condor? Amazing! There were about 5 or 6 flying overhead the day we left and I could have watched them all day - beautiful birds.
