parking your car at the BC

I was just reading a post about the plusses and minusses to staying at a deluxe over a moderate or value. Someone mentioned how the parking lots at the deluxes are generally not as convenient as at the other hotels. I remember when I was booking the BC and looking at a map of the resort, my husband noticed the parking lots and thought they looked like a "hike" from the rooms. Since we are renting a car for our trip in four days, I was just wondering if someone could tell me if the regular parking lots at the BC are a bit of a walk to the hotel rooms. Just curious what is in store for us in that area since we do hope to drive somewhere everyday while we are there. Thanks for any comments you have about this.

When we stayed at the BC we didn't really pay that much attention to how far it was to the parking lot but then again I don't think we ever left the resort. We ate on the boardwalk and at Cape May. But this past May we stayed at BWI....loved the resort but it was a hike to the car and we went out several times while we were there. Alot of times my DH would go down and get the car and pick me up at the front door. (I had a broken ankle and was in a boot). The bad thing about BWI was that if you left to go out to eat somewhere by the time you got back the parking lot was filled. I think alot of locals go there in the evenings. You will probably be okay at the BC though. I remember it to be a pleasant walk.

Yes, the walk from self parking at the BC to the resort is a bit of a hike (3 minutes?)but not as bad as some other deluxes. At the GF, self parking is on the other side of the road.

IMO, parking lot to lobby, the shortest is Poly and CR.

The YC/BC and BWI are in the middle. The AKL may be a shorter distance than YC/BC but the walk up the hill is tough. (the walk down the hill is easy )

Thanks for the quick responses. I guess being that it is Disney, I should not complain about a little more walking, right? We were just spoiled with staying at the cbr for our last four trips. Our car was always pretty close to our room there.
But, I am excited about staying at a deluxe again, finally. Thanks again for your help.

If you are paying to stay in a deluxe, it really isn't that much more to pay for the valet parking. So convenient when it's storming and you don't have to make the run to or from the parking lot in the rain. For the $6/day, plus the tips when you pick up and/or drop off, it's worth it.
