Parking with Reward Points?

We'll be at Pt. Canaveral for a port stop on a Royal Caribbean cruise. I found a really cheap car rental and think we might drive to Typhoon Lagoon for the day since we have plusses left over from park hoppers. I will transfer enough points over for lunch and drinks and wondered if I can pay the Disney daily parking fee with a rewards card also. This will be an almost free port stop after the huge expense of shore excursions in the other ports we will visit.

How much do you estimate for lunch for a family of 5 at TL?

I'm almost positive parking at TL is free. Towel rental costs $1 if you don't bring your own, and there's a small fee for a locker if you'd need one. You can bring in your own snacks and drinks, but no glass, alcohol, or coolers.

Lunch is typical counter service--figure about $10 per adult meal & drink, and $ per child meal. A refillable mug is available for a little over $10.

Parking at Typhoon Lagoon is free. Also, if I were you, I'd ask for picnic lunch boxes to go from Royal Caribbean. I think they do that if you'll be gone for lunch and ask ahead of time.

Free is good! I guess we could get sandwiches and such from room service and take to TL with us from the ship. Good idea.

How long should the drive be....about an hour?
