I know some of you also fly out of hartford like we do. When do you park? I was looking into the lots today and the prices are drastically different. DH says go with the cheapest but sometimes you get what you pay for. I do want a car to return to and for the snow to be removed from it :) Any recommendations? thanks Ann

what i ususally do because we usually take an early flight out is stay at the bradley international inn and use the park and fly which includes your room and up to a month of parking for 99.00 , when we went in august i thought the room smelled a little musty though, so for november we are using homewood suites at the reccommondation of the travel agent, they have full kitchens, fireplaces, living rooms and bedroom all for 109.00 . so were trying that one in a couple of weeks, also if we have a 2 pm flight then we just go to parking lot B, its about 45 dollar per week, but its out in the open. the above prices were for 3 adults to a room so if there is only 2 of you its a little cheaper.

homewood suites include 2 weeks parking, they use avista parking which is right across the street from homewood travel agent stated that you usually check in and then bring car over and use shuttle to airport, they also justed opened an hampton inn with a park/fly but that one is a little more pricey , i thaink that one was 169.oo, the sheraton at the airport they wanted 290.00 for their park and fly that one is outrageous!!!!

The past two cruises we stayed there the ight before to catch our 6;30am flight. (I agree it was musty) This year we have decided to fly into Florida the day before and stay at Amerisuites down there. I will not have to get up at 4:30 this way and the weather dely issue won't be a problem. As such I need to figure out where to leave our car for the week.

Hi Ann,
The only option you have if you do not want to come back to a snow covered car is park in the parking garage right near the terminals. That would run you about $144 for 9 full days.
I am not sure how far you live from the airport if it is not too far you could take a car service each way. We live too far from the airport so that does not work for us. The log term lots are fine too but you have to wait for a bus....and clean your own car off.

We found this place called executive valet parking . They will warm up your car and clean off the snow, they have a shuttle (with phones by baggage) it looks god only lke 40.00 for a week (we actually need an extra day as we are going down early so it would be like 50.00)

One thing to double-check is the whether there is a maximum fee for the parking garage...I use Manchester (NH) airport and the max fee is 7 days @$12 per day. I am a bit of a control freak ;) and don't like to have to wait for the shuttles for the third party lots.

I don't know if I understand you? Do you mean if you stay longer than seven days it is free? Or is it you can only stay seven days?

Free after 7 days.

Hi,
They do not have weekly rates at BDL. It is 16.00 for each day, even over 7. The lots however do have weekly rates.

We use RONCARI Valet Service (across the street from Bradley International). I use them for business and pleasure trips, about 10 times a year. The rate is about $8 per day with discounts found on their web-site, AAA or signing up for their frequent user card - you get a free week after 5-10 trips.

If it snows, they will take the snow off your car, at least, they did that for us. Also, your car is warm and ready when you step off the valet bus.

Good luck.

Do you know their website? I just checked executive valet and they have a coupon on their site for 5.95 a day!! They claim they will warm up car and clear snow. Ever hear of them?

Ann,
We usually use VIP (they used to have an AAA discount) but decided to use Executive. They had the cheapest price. I feel that the reason they are cheaper than the others is because they are 1 0r 2 miles further away from the airport than the others. If you don't mind the extra couple minutes in the shuttle, then I would go with Executive.
They were very professional and picked us up timely. My car was running when I got there.
Good Luck,
Ellen

So how early do you need to get there for the shuttle if say your flight is at 10am? Did you go in the winter? Did they warm your car etc?

Ann,
I just got back a few hours ago (although it was cold it, no snow to clean off the car). They did have my car running and the inside was warm.
We had an early flight last Saturday (7:00 am). I think we got to Executive around 5:45 or so. That gave us plenty of time to check our bags and go through security.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ellen
