Parking rate up to $8.00?

The lady at AAA told me that the parking rates at the parks are up to $8.00 a day now. Can anyone who's been there lately verify this? I was there about a year and a half ago and it was $6.00 could it have jumped that much so quickly? Thanks for any answers.

I checked out on 11/12, I'm pretty sure the parking rate for cars was still $6.00.

If you are staying on site do you have to pay for Parking?

No. If you are staying on property or you're an annual pass holder you don't pay to park at the theme parks.

As of Thanksgiving 2001 the parking fee for regular cars of day guests in the main park lots was still $6.00. There were some higher rates for larger vehicles, I don't remember what goes with what.

Universal Studios was at $7.00 and they may have gone to $8.00. Maybe that's what the AAA lady heard.
