Does anyone know how much parking is at the parks?

I know many of you have said that the parking is crazy right now...not sure why?

Also, when I walk to the parks from Harbor hotels there is always a tram that's driving in or out with people...is that from the Harbor parking entrance?

$14 as of last Sat...

there is not really a hotel tram... though some hotels have buses if the park is too far away.

I've heard that if you buy your tickets through AAA you get free parking.

Parking has been kind of crazy but if you get there at park opening it's not bad. I think it's mainly been crazy with locals coming in at later times (like weekend afternoons or weekday evenings after work).

I'm not sure what tram you're referring to. Do you mean the shuttle buses? Like albort said, those are from some of the hotels. The parking structure tram goes next to DTD on the other side - not by harbor.

I'm assuming you're staying somewhere not within walking distance since you're asking parking questions? Is it possible for you to stay somewhere closer so you don't have to deal with parking?

No, they are Disney...they are always coming and going on the opposite side of where all the hotel shuttles, art and taxis load and unload. I just don't know where they are coming from!!

Thanks, I thought there was construction or something going on since everyone has been posting about avoiding parking in the parking structure.

There is a tram that leaves from that side that goes to the farther overflow parking (Timon & Pumba or something?), and then the tram that leaves from near DTD (on the other side) goes to the main Mickey & Friends lot. :)

THANK YOU!! Ok, so this is overflow parking...not a lot that you can drive into...gotcha!! Thanks so much!!

Actually, this is slightly outdated.

Both the Timon & Pumba lots, which you could enter from the gate on Harbor Boulevard and Disney Way, were closed recently to make way for Cars Land at Disney's California Adventure Park, a key part of the ongoing expansion of the Disneyland Resort.

I do believe that those trams now run to the overflow parking lot located next to Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel (Stitch?).

What is the best time to arrive to park? We will be getting into Anahiem before our check in time at the hotel so I will just be parking at DL for the first day. Is there a better place in the lot to park than others?

Check with your hotel when you arrive, they may let you park before check in time.

Ours did. We arrived at 10:30, did a pre- check in at the hotel, parked and walked over to the parks.

I can't even think of a hotel that doesn't let you check in before their official time. You won't get a room unless you're really lucky, but you can check in!
