I am trying to figure out this whole, Breakfast ADR thing and need some strategies for transportation.
We will be staying at ASMo, but we will have our cars. We have early ADR's (8AM on AM EMH day for Donald's, 8:45AM PSB on EMH morning at Epcot, 7AM Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary on EMH day at MK)
What is gonna be the best way to make it to each of these? Should we drive or take the bus? When to the buses start to run? Will the parking lots be open? When will they open the gates and let us in?
ETA: I'm not getting a late start, this is for our Sept trip. lol. I've had April all worked out for months. lol. :surfweb:

You can choose to travel by either method.

The buses start running VERY early.

MK's parking lot (TTC) is open virtually 24 hours a day (its also the entrance to several of the resorts).

You should be at the front gate of the park with your ADR no later than 20 minutes before your ADR time. There will be CM's at the gates to allow you in for the early meals.

Its easy. Relax.

Thanks, Robo. This isn't the first time you've saved my day. lol. Another thread had me worried. But, I shouldn't worry? The buses will be running?

Don't worry--the buses run early enough to get you anywhere you need to be. In my opinion, you are better off on the bus for early ADRs than taking a car.

You just need to think of it like this.

What would be the point of Disney making early ADR's if they could not get the guests TO them? ($$$$).

They've been doing this a very long time.

You should ride the bus. We had an issue at AK last April where we waited 45 minutes outside the parking lot for the parking lot to open. It did open at 8 a.m. for a.m EMH, but by the time you actually parked and trekked to the turnstiles, we were no longer on time for openning. When I called transportation to complain, I was told that they assume that Disney Resort Guests will use the bus. They assume that the drivers are "day guests" from other resorts. I disagree with that assumtion, but that's what we heard last year.

Bus service starts early every day for the various breakfasts around WDW. On regular morning (not EMH) service to the Magic Kingdom area starts at 6:30am and 7:00am for the rest of the World. I am not sure if any adjustments are made for EMH.
As someone noted, you CANNOT drive to the AK for an early Donald's breakfast. For whatever reason, the parking lot at the AK does not open early. This has been going on for years. ONLY Disney buses are allowed into the AK early.
For Chef Mickey's tell the driver where you are going and he/she may me able to drop you off right at the Contemporary. If you have to get off at the MK the Contemporary is only a seven minute walk. You can monorail over also but the walk is faster.
Relax, don't worry about the transportation. WDW does a fine job taking care of it's guests.
