I have booked our vacation for June at the PBH. We haven't stayed there before, but we have stayed at the RPR. At the RPR, we never wanted to move the car because the parking lot was so crowded that some people were actually having to park in the grass. I was wondering if the parking situation is any better at PBH, because we may want to go off-site for a meal on a night or two. I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, I looked and couldn't find anything about the parking situation.

Thanks in advance!

It is much, much better. First of all, it is several levels of covered, underground parking. Secondly, there always seems to be spaces. We often go offsite and have never had a problem finding a parking space when we returned. And most of the time it is relatively close to the elevators, especially nice when you have shopping bags with you.

Last month, we were in and out of the parking lot at least 2 to 3 times per day as half the family was staying at PBH and my daughter and I were required to stay at the Buena Vista Palace hotel for a competition. So, the family was in and out of the PBH parking lot several times each day coming down to WDW for competitions and they never had a problem finding a spot on return.

Thanks so much Goofy! That's exactly what I wanted to hear!

Since it's underground parking, do big vans or SUV's fit? (Suburban) We've had issues with roof clearances in garages in Boston. Thanks

We always get a Yukon from Hertz and have never had an issue. The roof clearance is actually quite high. We have seen Escalades, Yukons, Expeditions and all of the major SUV's in there.

You shouldn't have a problem at all.

Thanks goofy :thanks:

I actually hadn't thought about it until I saw this thread.

Totally off-topic, but this fall I was taking DD for a dr's appt. The hospital has underground parking. I was behind a huge pickup. As she entered the garage, she hit the height bar so hard, she set it swinging. You would think that would give her a clue not to proceed.

Anyway, there is a small lot for physicians and then you go down half a level to the main parking area. Since this is a ramp, it is pretty low. I watched in horror as she just kept going, caving in the top of her cab. Then she was stuck. She rocked back and forth, crunching as she went.

DH likes to say that "it should be painful to be stupid." This woman proved the theory in spades.
