Ok, before I get hit with the 'stop trying to avoid the parking fees' rant from everyone, I'll be staying on-site and I have an AP, so I get to park for free anyway. This is not about gaming the system.

After getting that disclaimer out of the way... ;)

On the last full day of my vacation, we'll be going to Epcot as it's sort of a tradition, and this time we've got an ADR for a really late meal at Beaches and Cream after (22:00).

Now we don't want to leave our car in the Epcot car park as I've no idea how we'd get to it after the meal (23:00 - 23:30) and if we go back to the main car park then drive out to the beach club at the end of the night it could be a problem getting to Beaches & Cream by 22:00.

So does anyone have any info, personal experience, etc. of parking in the Beach club car park in the morning if you are eating there in the evening? (again, taking into consideration that we will have a WDW parking pass for another resort).

If worse comes to worse we could catch the bus in then walk to Beaches but we'd have to catch a cab\uber back to out resort (OKW) after the meal which is a pain.

You would have to pay for valet parking in order to do this. You won't be able to leave your car in self-parking for the whole day.

That was one of my thoughts. Just valet it and then it's not a worry. We tend to valet a lot anyway as we use the TiWc (Though I wouldn't expect to get free TiW valet in this instance) and use a lot of the resort restaurants.

I agree with @Lynne M Valet is your only option. As a guest at BC, it is very difficult and upsetting to not be able to find a spot at my resort because folks are parking there and going to Epcot. I get you are an onsite guest, and that allows you to park in a space at your own resort, not at BC because you want to be at Epcot. It has nothing to do with money and everything to do with enough space.

I do see your point and wouldn't have even considered self-parking during busier times (Trust me, I've had the nowhere to park problem at AKV and it's a pain), the only reason I thought of it as an option is that we are going in a quiet season (Feb).

Like I said, I think I'll go down the valet option. I imagine a cab\uber would cost around $20 back to OKW so it's not like I'm losing much. :)

Valet currently costs $25 + tip. So Uber 1 way is a bit less but I might splurge on Valet

Staying on site and having an AP doesn't give you the right to park all day in a resort other than your own. You might be allowed to park for three hours which would give you time for your meal at B&C. You'll need to pay to valet park and even then, you might be turned away. I've seen that happen at the Contemporary to cars trying to valet park there for the day without being a guest at that resort.

An AP gives you the right to park for free at the theme parks.

Ok, I don't want this to become a trigger for rants.

If you have an alternative option that works please provide it like Lynne M & Hopefully did, I'd really like the input.

If not maybe we should all remember what Thumper's mom taught Thumper...

What about parking down at Hollywood Studios? Its not to far of a walk and you can park there all day being an AP. But not to keep repeating but the space at Yacht and Beach is limited , so this might be the easier way, plus then you can hop on a bus from HS to EPCOT and then walk back down the path to HS and get in your car after dinner

the problem is because of the time of year I'm going the closing times of all the parks is pretty early. So trying to get back to them at 11pm or later might be impossible.

Now I might be able to taxi or uber it but even if I can drive into the park after hours I don't know what security would do with what might look like an abandoned car.

Just offering a clarification on your statement about being able to park at any resort.

But I never actually said I could park anywhere. I only mentioned the on-property thing and the AP to show I wasn't trying to avoid paying.

From this side of the screen it felt like your post might be the start of the 'you have no right!' rants that I was trying to avoid, hence my reply.

But like I said, just looking for a solution and to avoid any issues.

You can park at the resort for three hours with your ADR, so you could always move your car from the Epcot lot to the resort in the evening close to your ADR time.

I would valet park. It sounds like you have a full day planned at Epcot followed by a very late night at Beaches and Cream. I know after a day like that I'd personally love walking out the front doors of Beach Club and having my car brought to me!

Uber works great if you are considering that option. We have used it to go between resorts (specifically the beach club/boardwalk when we didn't want busses) and it is nice cheap alternative and we never waited more than 3-4 minutes.

It's an easy walk from BC to HS, even at a slow pace it wouldn't take longer than 15 min. to walk.

THe walking bit is fine, it's the leaving the car there till after 23:00. I'll ask when I get to WDW and see if it's a prob...

Just passing along our recent experience at YC. We also have TiW and went to the YC for lunch while visiting WDW just for the day. When we arrived at the gate the guard informed us that due to the current construction, they are being very strict about the parking lots at YC and BC are only for registered guests, guests with an ADR, or those wishing to valet park. Since you have an ADR at Beaches & Cream (which is a TiW restaurant) I would suggest the easiest option might be to drive your car from Epcot, around the time of your ADR, over to BC and valet park. I know you said that might pose a problem, but I really don't see any easier, or more convenient, way. After a long day in the park and a late meal, I know I wouldn't feel like walking all the way to HS.
