Hi there. We are flying out of Baltimore for the 1st time on Monday July 18th. We couldn't pass up the airfare on Southwest and live in south jersey so driving the 2 hours is worth it.

We have never flown out of this airport.......so looking for suggestions on a good off-site parking facility.....safe, reasonable rates, shuttle to airport.....any help is appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!

We park at the Econo Park Express. I don't remember their exact daily rate, but I think they are pretty cheap as opposed to parking at the airport itself. I'd probably make a reservation though. We have been there already where they are turning people away because the parking lot is full.

A yellow mini-bus will pick you up right at your car and the bus driver will load all your luggage onto the bus and then drop you off right at the Southwest terminal and unload all your luggage. You also get a free bottle of water, if you'd like. They do the same thing again when you get home from your trip. We find them very professional and have used them several times.

Just so you know if you decide to go with them, their parking lot is in a pretty ruin down area. (There are other parking lots around this same area). The first time we used them I had no idea where we were going and was worried about the location of the parking lot but everything was fine and safe. The parking lot is fenced in and has 24 hour security.

I love flying out of BWI. It is one of our favorite airports. Enjoy your trip.

I agree with disny_luvr about Econopark. I often use Southwest Airlines to fly between BWI and DFW, and I find their service to be timely and professional. I think you will be comfortable using with them.

Since we usually travel in January we usually park at the airport's Express Parking:

It costs more but it's under cover which prevents you from getting snowed in. The buses run frequently and, I think, take you to a lane a bit closer to the terminal.

I wouldn't use the "official" airport parking if they paid me.

We use Airport Fastpark. Shuttle picks you up immediately right at your car and helps with the luggage. You are at the airport in no time.

Getting back just as easy--the shuttles cruise the airport every few minutes.

And both lots (Red and Blue) are in perfectly safe areas.

We never did until the van got snowed in at one of the open lots during a January trip to WDW. Luckily one of my co-workers suggest we leave a snow shovel in the van in case it snowed.

This is what we use as well - usually there's a coupon on their website for like $7/day.

Any real difference between Red and Blue? Looks like you come to the Red lot before the Blue when you're coming off I-95

Have you found it necessary to have reservations during the summer?

There's no significant difference - one is about a 3 minute drive past the other. We've never had a reservation - they are 2 large lots.

Never made reservations either.

I suppose if you felt more comfortable you could, but we go toWDW in May and Sept. and have always found space in the Red lot.

As Vicki says, no real difference between the 2 and they are pretty close together.

We have used Pre-Flight at BWI. You can even make a reservation for your parking space and the shuttle service was great.

Another vote for Pre-Flight. They have coupons, pre-pay option, you can reserve (trust me this came in handy during a trip to Vegas!), and they have a Frequent Parker card you can sign up for (I believe you get a free day after 5 days).

I just made a reservation with EconoPark Express for July 22. they have a coupon on their website for $7.35/day. We've used them before and had a good experience.

Go to the web site for each of the outfits mentioned and look for coupons . . . that's how we decide . . . price, price, price (particularly if it isn't snow season!

Another PreFlight user here! I use this both at BWI and at Philly (which has a covered lot!!) anytime we fly. You can reserve online and there are always coupons. We typically take the first flight of the day, which means being at the airport around 5am, and have never had a problem with getting a shuttle as well as a cheerful driver to help with luggage.
