Ok, I'm sorry, I tried to search and gather the information myself, but there's too many pages on too many threads to easily find it. So I'm putting my questions in one spot here.

As of 3/21, bookings on-site after that will not get free resort parking. I get that. Ok, not thrilled, but that's life. I'm surprised it took this long. However, I have questions!

1. Does being an annual passholder affect this at all? We get free parking at the four parks, what about resorts?
2. We still get free parking at the parks right? :)
3. Non-AP holding resorts guests will still get free parking at the parks when they stay on-site? That seems weird, charge for resort parking but not parks, but ok. I suspect that means free parking privileges for park are not long for this world.

Fortunately, I think we dodged a bullet because everything is booked already for this year, save one possible short trip, but I'd like to be informed.

Thanks all,
Matt

As per their announcement, AP will not get free resort parking. It will remain free for DVC owners and those with a disability tag. We (AP holders) will continue to get, as will all resort guests, free theme park parking.

1) AP will have to pay for overnight parking for reservations booked on/after Mar 21.

2) Yes

3) Yes, resort guests will still receive theme park parking as a perk to staying onsite.

No one knows yet if having an AP will help with the resort parking fee. I could see that becoming a part of the AP room night specials in the future, where if you book at an AP rate your resort parking is included, but if you’re paying rack and happen to have an AP it won’t. But no one really knows right now. As it stands, we pay.

AP holders still get complimentary theme park parking and non-AP holders staying at resorts still get complimentary theme park parking (although deluxe guests will pay more per night to park at their resort than the theme park parking costs).

I feel fortunate that I already booked my trips for this year as well, and since they are bouncebacks I don’t have to worry about looking for a discount. Whether I book any trips at WDW at all for next year will depend a lot on the implementation. After the mess they made of implementing the security checks, I don’t have very high hopes.
