Parking fees at on-site hotels

I noticed in another thread that there is a parking fee for parking in the on-site hotel lots. Can anyone tell me how much it is per night and is there any way around it???

I think it is $12/night now. You can always ask nicely if they will take it off your bill. I have heard that people who stay an extended period of time sometimes get it comped.

It was $12.00 a night for us at the PBH over Thanksgiving.

I learned that Universal is really, really cheap with parking when I made our reservations in LA for our trip in March. The Anaheim Marriott, definitely NOT a 4**** hotel, where we are required to stay for a couple of days for a cheeleading competition, charges $18.00 per night + tax.

We will be staying 7-8 nights. I will ask nicely if they will comp the parking and see what we get. Worst they can say is no. . . .

I will be interested in the response you receive. You would be more likely than we would to get comped for the parking due to your Loews membership level. I guess we will see. Maybe it has to do with the number of nights you are staying and nothing to do with your membership level. (I'll just keep saying it over and over)

One more thing about parking. If you stay at the HRH, the lot fills up and people park along the curb. I've heard of an ant problem, where ants invade cars. If you are staying at the HRH, it may be a good idea to drive over to the PBH and park in the garage. They don't have window stickers, there's plenty of spaces, plus it's covered. You can take the van shuttle back to the HRH, or walk, it's 8 minutes.

gross! How bad is the ant problem? We are getting our rental car the last day, and were planning to park at HRH because it's closer to the parks than the garage. Should we just park in the garage? All our luggage will be in our car.
