Parking Fee(s) at Grand Californian

I'm sure this has been asked before but i am having trouble finding the answer..


Is there a fee to park at Disney's Grand Californian Resort if you are a guest? DVC?
I see parking fees on the website but i think that is for the parks since its all on site..
Can someone please confirm if there is or not. Thanks.

They have charged me as above when I stay on cash. When I owned DVC there, I didn't pay to park unless I used valet.

I rented DVC points to stay there (prior to owning DVC) and did not have to pay for self parking. I have since stayed there on my points, my home resort being AKV, and have not had to pay for self parking. Unless something has changed recently, as long as you are using points for a stay in a DVC room, you shouldn't have to pay for self parking.

there was no room at the Villas so we converted to stay at the main hotel.. Any difference?

Dvc is free parking. Valet costs still. Normally guests pay when they check in, then you just show your room key when leaving the parking lot and they let you out at no cost. With DVC you just don't pay anything at checkin. If you are staying on points it should be free

That I am not sure of. I know regular hotel guests do have to pay parking.

You should not have been charged for parking, home resort or not.

Guests staying at VGC on points (not cash) should receive free self parking. The guest does not need to be a VGC owner, or even own DVC at all.

Guest staying in a DLR hotel on points should also receive free self parking.

THX. I was just about to return here to update after now reaching a cast member at the resort. Confirmed, I get free self parking.
Had to wait for them to wake up on the west coast and turn the phone on.. lol
