We're renting a car and staying at a Downtown Disney hotel; we have a PS for the character breakfast at the Polynesian. I was thinking about driving to the Polynesian and leaving our car. Then we would use the monrail to get to Magic Kingdom. Will it be okay to leave our car parked at the Polynesian at least until lunchtime even if we're not staying at the hotel?

You will probably get a 3 hour pass. So if you park at 9:00am, you are good until noon.

Not really, it is for folks staying there or having business there (which you do), but, you are expected to move the car when you are done. There are signs stating that parking for the parks is not allowed.

Your best bet is to park at the TTC, and then walk over, or take the monorail.

Good advice-and that's exactly how we do it when we eat breakfast at Kona on our MK day. It's a relatively short walk from the TTC to the Poly.

Thanks for the quick replies! I really appreciate all the knowledge from the pros. I haven't been to WDW since I was 11, and now I'm taking my 7 year old dd.
