Parking at the Poly after an ADR?

If I make an ADR for an early lunch at the Poly, may I leave my car there for the rest of the day and retrieve it after I leave MK?

Technically, no. When you get to the 'guard shack' at the Polynesian you will be asked for your ADR time, and given a temp. parking permit...for about 3 hrs. Then you are supposed to have finished eating or touring the resort within that time period and left. There have been reports of them towing cars that have 'overstayed their welcome'.
I would park at the TTC and not have to worry about it. If you are staying on-site then take your resort bus to the MK and use the little ferry to get to the Polynesian for lunch and monorail back to the MK for the afternoon.

At the Poly, the answer will most always be No. Of all the MK resorts, the Poly is the most strict when enforcing the 'visiting' policy. When you enter the gate tell the guard you have an ADR; he will check your name on his list and then issue you a 3-hr parking permit. They do check the lot frequently for cars over the time limit and DO tow.

Don't worry: It only should take you about 5 minutes to drive from the Poly to the MK parking lot.

Last January my dh and I witnessed cars getting towed from both the Poly and CR. In all the years we have been to WDW this was the 1st time I actually witnessed cars being towed.

I know we shouldn't have done it....but we had breakfast ressie's one day at the Poly and dinner ressie's another time - both times we left our car there while we went to the MK. We didn't get towed - but after hearing everyone else's reply's - I guess we were just very lucky!! ;)

There is a thread on the resorts board right now about this. It seems they are getting much more strict about this.

Thanks so much for all the advice. We always stay at the Poly and use the monotail and buses for eveything, so I haven't driven around WDW since I was 18.

I think I am just being freakishly nervous about it because I am going solo for the first time and staying at the Pop. But..I will take the advice of parking at the TTC and walking over. Thanks again.
