I thought (from reading the "unofficial guide" and some posts on these boards) that if you were staying at a WDW resort, you could park without additional charge at the theme parks. I was told by two different CMs this evening that that was not the case (I was making PS at Rainforest Cafe at AK for a day we did not intend to go to AK.)

What is the scoop? Thanks.

No - you don't have to pay for parking - we've done it several times. Just show the CM at the ticket booth your resort key.

We have stayed onsite several times and never, ever paid for parking. They just waive you on thru when they see your resort parking pass in your window....:)

Just writing to agree with the others.
If you are staying at one of Disney's resorts, you will be given a parking pass when you check in. That allows you to park in the lot at your resort and park at any of the parking lots at the parks free of charge.
The parking pass and your room card/key show the dates your reservation covers, which indicates to the CM at the parking lot which dates you can park for free.
Rainforest Cafe is not owned by Disney, so I'm not sure when you call for PS there if you actually get Disney CMs or Rain Forest CMs. That may be the source of confusion.
