We used to always park at the lot across from Grand Floridian so we could take the monorail to MK. Visiting MK just doesn't feel quite the same unless travelling at least once during a visit by GF monorail for me.

Do they still allow this? I read it will soon be magic band based for parking as opposed to the windshield paper signs. We have never had trouble in the past. We will be having a joint stay between AKL & Beach Club in a few weeks. So we are still resorts guests.

They don't. In order to park for an extended time at a resort you need to either a) be a guest at that resort, or b) pay for valet parking.

Being an onsite resort guest gives you parking privileges at your resort only. At other resorts you are allowed 3 hours for dining/shopping/visiting. If you want to use a monorail resort to park your car while you visit the MK, you need to pay for valet parking. Otherwise, park at the TTC for free and catch the monorail there.

It's not that much farther to park at the TTC and monorail in.

Thanks! It was mostly the lot across the road from GF we would use and they always allowed us to park there as long as we were onsite guests at one of the resorts.

We will just park at TTC or just take a monorail ride from MK to the resorts. Or of course just park at the resort to hop for visiting/dining.
