Parking at Monorail resort for 4th of July ADR

We are have reservations for dinner at the Contemporary at 5:30 pm. Will we be able to park at the Contemporary and stay to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the observation deck on the 4th floor?

I am worried that we won't be able to park there at all because the MK is so crazy on the 4th. Are we better off parking at DTD and taking a bus to the Contemporary? How bad is the parking at DTD on the 4th?

That's a good question. Whenever we eat dinner at Chef Mickey's we park there in the early afternoon (after naps), walk to MK, walk back for dinner, walk back to MK after dinner, and escape the crush of monorail, ferry boat, and bus people when the mass exodus happens at closing. But the 4th might be a tougher animal.

Are you planning on going to MK or not. If you are, just parking there much earlier in the day and keeping your car there the whole time would give you a better chance I would imagine. If not, you could still get there well, well ahead of your reservation and have a decent chance, I would think. We might be trying the same thing that day.

I didn't know if they would allow us to stay since staying to watch the fireworks would extend past the 3 hour time limit. I really don't want to have to move my vehicle.

On July 4th, they will probably have very strict rules in place.

I constantly hear about how terrible the parking lot is at the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower; it's always full but empties after Wishes. However, in my experience, there was plenty of parking on and around New Years Eve year. So, I'm assuming they have must more strict policies around major holidays.

Thank you for the great advice. If my ADR is at 5:30, do you think I could just valet park at the Contemporary? I know there is a $20 fee. But it might be worth it not having to stress about exceeding the 3 hour time limit. Does anyone know if they ever turn people away from valet parking at the Contemporary if you have an ADR?? Does the valet lot ever get completely full?
