parking at mgm

We are planning on beginning one day at MGM, taking the boat to EPCOT and returning to the MGM parking lot after illuminations....can we leave our vehicle at mgm's lot that long past closing?

What day are you going? When does MGM close that day?

You may have to take the bus from Epcot to MGM. The boats stop going to MGM about an hour after the park closes.

It is generally better to leave your car at the park you are ending the day. That way, you won't be stuck trying to get back to the closed park.

You also have the option to walk back to the Disney Studios after leaving Epcot. The walk is almost always faster than taking the boat.

I didn't think there was a bus that went between Epcot and MGM. I was under the impression the only way to get between the two was to walk or take the boat.

Yes you can leave your car there. The lots may be very empty when you return though.

I would actually flip flop your parking plan.

Park at EPCOT, make your way to MGM, then when you end up at EPCOT, your car is there.

I guess it depends on what time you plan to start your day, and the logistics of getting from the FW side of EPCOT out the World Showcase entrance, and over to MGM.

I know there are much more knowledgeable Epcot area folks that can weigh in on this.

If you could park/stay at one of the Epcot resorts, problem solved.

You can not park at one of the Epcot resorts to go to the Theme Parks.

If you park at Epcot, you don't have to worry about getting back to your car at the end of the night, when you're going to be tired anyways.

If you park at MGM, busses will run from Epcot to MGM until 1 hour after Epcot closes.

If you park at MGM and don't make it out of Epcot in time to catch the bus, leave via the International Gateway exit. You'll be able to walk (~1 mile) and get to MGM, and yes, you'll still be able to get your car out.
