Parking at JFK?

Can someone please tell me if I should be able to find parking the day before Thanksgiving at JFK. We are arriving at the airport at around 4pm and just found out that a lot that is privately owned that offers long term parking for JFK is full on that day and now I am beginning to worry that I will get to the airport and have no place to park. Any help and information will be greatly appreciated.

I can't imagine that you would be able to get a space at JFK this Wed., day before Thanksgiving and at 4pm no less.
I would strongly suggest that you have some family-friend drop you off or hire a car service.
Give yourself plenty of time for check in and security, that is one very busy day at JFK.

Do you have any big name hotels near where you live, many times they will have a bus service going to JFK? Or possibly, book a room at a hotel near JFK and their bus could drop you off. You would park the car at that hotel and use their bus service both ways.
Although the car from your home might be less expensive.

have you checked www.avistarparking.com? we parked there for our trip out of jfk last year (thanks to some helpful dis'er that recommended them) and were quite pleased... they take reservations, so that's a help... good luck...

I had checked them also, being curious, I even checked LGA.

I checked every parking place around and they are all full. I even called the airport and asked what they thought about their parking situation that day. I guess I will have to get a car or van to take us to the airport. I really needed to have the car there when we landed. Oh well we will just have to arrange our plans. I am just glad that I checked into this before we got there on Wed. I also would not be able to stay at a hotel as the kids have to go to school right up until the day we are leaving so we have to be home.

So, does anyone know of a good car company in the Long Island Ny area?
