Parking at JFK?

Has anyone used long term parking at

JFK Airport? (New York), We are driving from Mass. and need to park our car for the week. When I google long term parking I am getting hits on all these satellite parking lots.

We would prefer to park right in the airport, for security reasons, but for some reason, I can't seem to find what seems like accurate information.

We leave for our cruise in 16 days!

There's a long term parking lot on-site that is operated by the Port Authority of New York / New Jersey which runs JFK Airport. Once you park, you'll take the AirTrain to your terminal. I have used it many times and prefer it to the off-site vendors.

We always use long term parking right at the airport. Easy, convenient and I love that you pay with your easy pass if you want. My kids always love the train ride to the plane to start a trip

Is it challenging to get your luggage onto and off of the tram to get to your gate? We are a family of four and heading onto a "Disney cruise"

so we have quite a bit of luggage!

When I have a lot of luggage, I rent one of the SmartCarts that is available for luggage transport. I think they cost $5. Not a problem. This would be my recommendation.

Alternatively, your husband (or someone else) could drop you and the rest of your family off at the terminal with your luggage and then he could go to long-term parking. It would probably take about 20 to 30 minutes for him drive to the parking lot and get back to your family.

We prefer to park at the offsite lots.

We do not like having to drag luggage though the parking lot and load into train. We had a nightmare experience once trying to get into an elevator with the bags and the kids. Never again.

Off site is safe and convenient. they bring you right to your terminal and pick you up from the terminal. We have never had long waits. It is cheaper, too.

We usually use smartpark because they have nice small buses not cramped vans. I did notice a company called the parking spot had similar vans. I just haven't used them yet.

edit to add: I read that your referred to "safety reasons". Not sure what you are referring to ...yourself or the car. Offsite is valet. People aren't walking around the lots. Our cars have always been safe there.

We also prefer offsite. So far we have used Park Plus twice at JFK and really like them. They are fast getting you loaded up in the shuttle (they help with luggage) and getting you to your terminal (very quick ride and it is door to door). Shuttles are on demand, so not slaved to a schedule. Also pretty fast picking up. Car ready by the time you are back at the parking lot. You can easily get a $10 per day rate by subscribing to email specials. Safe secure parking (gated, fenced and manned). Recommended.

Which offsite parking is the quickest and most convenient at JFK? Driving from the Hartford area for an early flight. Stayed at the old Raddisson once and it was disgusting so unless there's something nicer will just drive down in the middle of the night.

most are located on the south conduit, which is the service road to the belt pkwy. (close to the airport)

I would go with smartpark. I have used them many times and never an issue.
