Parking at GF for Dinner at Narcoosee's

I'm getting conflicting messages on whether or not I can leave our car at GF after dinner at Narcoosee's. My wife and I have an Advance Reservation for 7:55 pm on a Sunday evening and plan to watch the Electric Water Pageant and the MK fireworks from the porch following the meal. Since it will be that late in the evening after the fireworks (and the park closes at midnight), would it be permissible to leave the car at GF and take the monorail to MK for the approximately two hours till the park closes? If not, I would leave our car in the MK lot and take the monorail to GF, but returning to our resort (CS) from the GF parking lot would be a lot quicker than from the MK lot at closing!

We're doing something very similar, but we plan to take the bus from the resort to MK, then ferry to GF, then ferry back to MK, then bus to the resort. We have a car, but if we plan to hit the parks after dinner, don't want to deal with going to a resort to get the car.

Depending on when you go just be aware that GF parking is very limited and seems to fill up pretty fast. During the gingerbread house period it is not unheard of to be told that you have to park at the TTC and use the resort monorail to get over. We had this happen two years ago even though we had an ADR.

The policy is that you are allowed to park for 3 hours with a dining reservation. They may or may not enforce the rule. On very busy days, they turn people away to park in the theme park lots or Disney Springs lots.

If you are worried about parking your car and would rather be 100% sure there is no problem, you can choose to valet park, that means you can leave it - do everything you planned on doing, and come back at the end of the night and pick it up. Valet parking is expensive, $25 (not including tip).

I had an evening flight home on my last trip. I made a lunch reservation at Kona at the Polynesian before my flight. Posters on here gave me dire warnings about the parking, even though I've NEVER had a problem parking at the resort in years past. When I got to the gate, I told the guard that I had a lunch reservation. She just asked for my ID and told me to enjoy my meal. No 3-hour parking pass, no checking on my adr, or any of the stuff people on here claim that they do. In my 19 visits, I've never had a problem parking at any resort. Perhaps people have issues because they are trying to park there before park opening. I doubt you would have a problem in the evening.

It really depends on the time of year. I've never had an issue at the Poly but at GF we were told we had to park at TTC because the lot was full. That was later in the evening during the christmas season. So many people trying to see the gingerbread house. My friends were also forced to valet at the Yacht Club even though they were all on the Yachtsman dinning reservation because the lot again was full. These were during times that both are normally packed though. The boardwalk did give us a 3 hour window one year but we didn't get a paper or anything. The Boardwalk and Yacht Club were both during Food and Wine so it makes sense.

1) Yep, and they are enforcing it more and more.
2) Too many people eat at the resorts to avoid the $20 parking fee.
3) This amounts to cheating the system.
4) One can see the sense in this.

NOTE: Of course, if you pay the $25 (plus tip) fee for valet parking at the resort, you can park all day/night.
