Is there a charge to park at DTD and/or a time limit? We would like to see the holiday decorations at the monorail resorts but we know we can't park at one of those resorts for an extended period.

However, the parking at DTD is for the guests using the services of DTD, not for parking and going elsewhere.

If you want to visit the hotels, you can drive to the hotels, visit and then leave. Or park at the TTC parking lot (MK parking lot).

Don't forget to bring your refillable Pop Century mug from three years ago to fill with FREE yummy hot chocolate while you sit in the relaxing, steamy hot tubs at the pools, too!

Poly and GF will let you park there for 3 hours. This is plenty of time to see all the decorations in the resorts. They are generally confined to the main building area. We go by to look at them every year and haven't had a problem getting to all the resorts under the time limit.

It's such a hassle to go from DTD to the resorts, as all the resorts I've stayed at do not have a dedicated DTD bus - it tends to stop at a water park as well, and go to all 3 DTD regions for pick-up, etc. Also, the buses just don't seem to make that DTD trip all very often!

We've had to wait 45 minutes for a DTD bus to take us back to our resort, the longest of any WDW bus wait for us!

eeyoreiscool is right. Three hours should be plenty of time to see the Christmas decorations at all THREE monorail resorts. Then the OP can drive to a different resort, see the Christmas decorations there, then drive to another...

If you would like to see the holiday decorations at the Monorail Resorts, why not go on the day you visit the Magic Kingdom? This way once your done you can take the Monorail all around & once your done, head back to your car at the TTC. This way you don't need to park at Downtown Disney & can save it for another day.
