No, they usually give you a permit so that you can park for about 3 hours. Many, many years ago you could get away with this. I used to park at the Beach Club, have breakfast there, and then go over to Epcot.

They've wised up now.

I just talked to a CM who said they'll give you a permit to park for two hours only. I was about to make a 6:40 ADR for Spoodles so we could eat and walk over to 9:00 Illuminations. Scrapped that idea when CM said it can't be done.

I want to play by the rules, but how strict are they on the time limit?

I don't know how strict, but I am sure that if they weren't they would have terrible abuse in their hotel parking lots with people trying to see fireworks, etc. I would not take that gamble.

If you pay for the valet parking they don't care how long you park. Something to consider.

There are posters here who have stayed at CR and said they have seen vehicles get towed away.

Yes, when we've driven, we had a permit for 3 hours. The guy at the gate also checks your name against his ADR list to make sure you're really on it. They're pretty strict about this. After breakfast, you have to drive and park in the regular parking lot.

Park at the TTC and then take the monorail to CR for chef mickey's and then you are all set.

I've stayed at CR many times and it was so frustrating not to be able to find a parking space so I LOVE hearing how they are towing cars and enforcing the 3 hour limit!!

If everyone would just be considerate and following the rules, everyone could be happy.

They specifically prohibit parking at a resort where you are not staying in order to go to a park. You will show ID when you check in at the guard station and he will note your license number. We have not been issued a 2 or 3 hour pass. but the guard did tell us where to park and that this parking was "for dinner only."

All of the above was with DVC ID, a resort car pass on the windshield, and KTTW.
