We have totally changed our vacation based on great airfare we are either flying out of Bradley or TF Green. We don't know anything about parking at either. I currently have airfare from TF Green but Bradley has better times! What about price, ease of getting to the terminal etc! Help quick!

BDL is an "easy access" airport. Offsite parking is close, 5 minute shuttle ride. In fact, I just printed a coupon for Avistar ( Go to Longtermparking.com) for $33.95 a week, plus a 4% tax and probably a nominal gas surcharge ($2). Most flights go out of terminal A, which means you're the first stop. I find it funny how BDL tries to be like a big airport, meaning the shuttle will move up 50 feet for SWA v Delta. Technically, they could drop you off in the middle and you would be okay for both airlines. Any questions, let me know. Also, let me know how you do with the Avistar coupon. It's good 'til 6/30/06. :thumbsup2

Bradley is a great airport to get in and out of!! I've parked at a number of offsite places (piccolo's, galaxy self park, roncari's, executive, etc) and I've been very happy with all of them. When flying on business, I always park at Roncari because it's the closest, with numerous shuttles. They are a bit pricier, but they accept AAA (I get a corporate rate, but can't remember exactly how much their normal rates are). Galaxy Self Park (owned by Roncari) would be the next closest offsite parking and I typically park there for personal travel. It's about $6/day with AAA. All offsite parking is easy to get to - right off the highway.

We're in a similar boat as you - we live close enough to Bradley and TF Green, so we jockey back and forth between the two. Personally I much prefer Bradley - mainly because the parking is less stressful IMO. However, when it comes to cheap airfare...I'll go to either!! :cool1: I wouldn't hesitate to go with the Hartford flights if they're better times - I'm sure you'll find it very easy to fly in and out of. Good luck with your decision!!!

We use Bradley also. The off site parking is easy and plentiful. They are all pretty similar. If I am traveling for work, I use a shuttle because of company policy. When traveling for pleasure, we usually park in the airport gargage. No shuttle, just walk across skywalk to car. (Sometimes I hate waiting for the shuttle on the way home :))

We switch between Providence and Hartford, too, depending on where Southwest has the cheapest flights. Providence parking is closer (we use Post Road Airport Valet, and if you could bust through the fence, it's right near the gate we always fly out of) but slightly more expensive (I want to say it was $50/week). Hartford's parking was a little further away (although it might be just the place we used). We used Executive several times, and it was only $37.50 for the week, shuttles were fast and convenient. I wouldn't hesitate to fly out of either because of the parking.

Bradley is a 10 minute ride from home & 5 min from my godfather's. We leave the car at his house & he drops us off at the airport. I love my Godfather!!

We have used offsite parking at Bradley a couple of times. If you search the internet for "parking garage coupons" there is a site that will come up and give you the parking for the different airports and coupons you can use.

We used on down near Bradley and it was great, we dropped our truck off, they shuttled us to the terminal and when we returned they picked us up and our truck was warmed up and ready to go, which was great because it was snowing and very cold the night we returned!!

Thanks for all the info. We switched to Bradley with SW for the $59 one way for late Oct. We have flown out of Logan, Manchester and TF Green. Bradley is only about 20 miles farther than T.F.Green and I got the times I wanted.

I park at Roncari. There are cheaper offsite places, but Roncari is the closest and provides fantastic service from all the drivers. It makes for a pleastent way to start/end a trip.

Love Roncari!! Especially during the winter trips...the car is already heated with the snow cleaned off!

we used Avistar last year,I do NOT recommend them.. it was an awful, unfriendly experience- we used the coupon, and will pay a bit more for better service and nice people after that.

I used Avistar Self Park just last month. Very easy and cheap. They use the same shuttles at Piccolo across the street. I use Piccolo's Valet Parking when travelling on business and the only thing that's different is that Piccolo brings your car up front. At self park they bring you to your car.

I have used VIP and Roncari. No complaints from either of them. They both have the air conditioner or heat on depending on the season.

Avistar and Piccolo just combined forces and I haven't been pleased w/ the results. I did the Avistar self-park option for a work trip 2 weeks ago and the counter lady was rude when I pulled up and started to walk into the office like I used to do. She yelled at me that I needed to go through the 'drive thru'. There weren't any signs directing me to do so (I did point that out) and I told her she should recommend some to management so she wouldn't have to yell so much. Now the Piccolo/valet option is across the street but I still don't see any real signage explaining the differences. I live in Suffield and drive by daily.

Executive is the farthest away from the airport but closest to my home and they do a nice job w/ the valet and having your car pulled right up to the check out area.

Parking in the terminal garage is very convenient and cheaper than at many other airports. I haven't done that for some time but it was handy just to walk out and get in the car.

We used Executive and they were great!! We got out of our car and straight onto the shuttle--it was a quick ride to the terminal. Return trip was just as easy!! We paid a little over $30 with our Big Y card. We'll be using them next time we fly. :sunny:

We parked at Piccolo/Avistar in October as part of a Park, Stay and Fly program with the Baymont Inn and one of our 2 cars was stolen from. We were later told by a Windsor Locks police officer that there have been many complaints/problems with this lot. I would not recommed them. We have since used 2 of the airport parking lots for two other trips and both times found the rate to be reasonable and we had no problems.
