Parking and Re-entry question

Hello fellow Disney fans,
I have a question I hope somebody can help me with. We are going to Disney with a group of 8. We would like to go to the park during the day, leave to eat dinner outside of the parks, but then some of us would like to come back for the evening shows and fireworks. Can we re-enter not only at the turnstiles but at the parking lot with only the base tickets?

I actually haven't been to WDW since they changed the passes to the MYW, but it is my understanding that if you have the base non-hopper tickets, you can leave and re-enter as long as it is the same park you were in before, unlimited. As for the parking, if you park at any of the Disney parking lots and pay for the day, that is good for any of the other lots for that day as well...i.e. park at AK in the morning, park at MGM in the afternoon, park at MK for the evening, all using the same ticket you purchased at the first lot.
