Parkhopper-how can you tell if there are leftover days?

How do I know if there are leftover days on our Disney hopper passes? We can't seem to remember. Also, My parents have some passes with a day leftover on them, is there a way we could possibly use them? It does have my parents name on the passes, so how would we use these? If we could use them, we would only have to buy passes for our children. Thanks.........

The only way to check is at Guest Relations at the parks.
