We stayed at PVI for the second time around and we still really liked it. Don't get me wrong it's no Grand Cali but for the price it is not bad at all.

1. Breakfast daily from 7-10am.

Good:
They have pretty darn decent options. There are scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, yogurt (in a bulk container, not individual), mixed fruit, waffle, white bread, wheat bread, bagel, 3 different cereals (fruit loops, raisin bran and some sort of chex for gluten free people). Then they rotate biscuit and bacon, potatoes and sausages.
Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, apple juice, orange juice and milk to drink.

Bad:
The tables inside get crowded pretty fast so if you don't want to sit outside, go right when it opens.
Although the outside tables have a nice view of Matterhorn and Space Mountain.

2. Room
Good:
- We've stayed in a 2Q before and it was decent. This time around I picked the Q and bunk beds. We found that the Q+bunk rooms are the rooms closest to the front of the building which means they are the closest to the park.
- Because we have 2 little ones, we requested guard rails on both the top and bottom bunk. They gladly honored the request which was wonderful. I don't have to worry about my little one's legs getting stuck between the rails.
- Can see fireworks outside some rooms... which is totally cool.

Bad:
- These rooms have less space than the regular 2Q.
I also found out that some Q+bunks are smaller than others. I don't think there's any way to know which ones you will get until you see the room.
- Rooms closer to the front do get loud during the day.
- If you miss housekeeping it is unlikely you can get your room cleaned afterwards. You can get a set of towels and cups but I don't think they have time to do room cleaning requests outside of their normal schedule.

3. Free wifi

4. Free parking until the end of check out day.

5. Laundry room.
They are located at the left side of the hotel about half way down the length of the hotel. So if you're staying in the front side you have a some walking. But not bad.

The good:
They have 3 sets of washer and dryers. Each takes 4 quarters.

Bad:
They are old. I mean old and falling apart. The drum is peeling off and the one of the lint traps wouldn't even stay put.
It takes me a dryer and a half to fully dry a load of washer.

6. Staff
All the staff I've encountered were very helpful and accommodating. I really don't have many issues with this hotel.

7. Location is totally awesome. Plus if you're starving there's an IHOP across your room ... :lmao:

Now to some random DL/DCA food thoughts

Ok, I went on this trip and was trying my best to find the healthy food options. And my healthy requirements is least processed food possible with minimum grain.
Don't get me wrong, I am making some space for some treats at the end of the trip but I wasn't planning to stuffing my face silly with junk the whole trip. popcorn::

I found that it is very difficult to find healthy options without it being cold.
All I could find mostly is salad. At Hungry Bear, at Taste Pilot, at Earl of Sandwich, at Village Haus.
At one point I was craving hot vegetables and the only place I found it was at Flo's as a side dish. I got 2!! :rotfl:
Then I remembered Pacific Wharf had the mexican restaurant with Half roasted chicken. I got that substituted the side with veggies. The chicken was good but everything was really greasy for my taste.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is, DL still has a long way to go with providing healthier options. They are trying especially with the fruit carts everywhere but for hot food (especially veggies) options there are really not very many options still.
I know there's Bengal's at DL but there's not really a convenient sitting place there.
So word of caution, if you want non greasy hot veggie dishes you might have to do sit down restaurants where you can specify what you want.

Now to the naughty food:
On the last night I had to stop by Jolly Holiday bakery and I bought some yummies for when I get home (helps with the disney blues... )

I bought Matterhorn Macaroon which is always awesome. And then I also bought the chocolate eclair and Salted Caramel Mickey macaron (french macaron).

Oh dear me... those 2 things are SOOOOOO stupid good.
I am kinda glad I waited until the last night to get it because I don't trust myself not to get another one.

sorry for the bad picture... had to take it quick so DH didn't give me the weird stink eye for taking pictures of food... :rolleyes1

Moral of the story... get those things... they are awesome.

Thanks for the hotel review. I'm considering staying there next visit.
And thanks for the tip on the bed rails! Will definitely be requesting those
