Park Vue Inn, Carousel Inn, or Tropicana inn and suites? Anyone with overall thoughts

Ok so for room quality and size these all look to be about the same... PVI has the best breakfast of the 3 from what I see hands down. Tropicana maybe the worst because you may have to pay for some basic items in the "free" breakfast (like milk).

At Park Vue inn is it correct that you can get free bottles of water through the day whenever you want? This would make taking water in the morning and after naps easy and would save us from buying water in the park...

Overall I am looking for feedback hopefully from users that have stayed at each of the hotels and which one they prefer for overall quality. Also if anyone has watched the fireworks from the roof of the Carousel Inn feedback would be appreciated.

I've watched the fireworks from the roof of the Carousel, by the pool. Very nice view. But I thought their breakfast was so slim that it wasn't worth it. After the first morning, we didn't even bother to go to it. YMMV.

Great to hear the FW view is good... sounds like the BF at Carousel and Trop are highly optional... :)

I've only stayed at the PVI but can tell you it is a great place to stay! The rooms are spacious and you cannot beat the location. The breakfast is very good and YES they have bottled water, cookies and fruit in the lobby all day long!

Thanks for the update! It looks like I have heard good things... I can maybe save 100 to 150 by staying at the other places. The location is about the same for the other 2 so it comes down to the BF and free water :) I figure that saves us some money there; and of course who has a better room.

nvm....I was going to post our experience but then realized we stayed at "Camelot Inn", not "Carousel Inn".

Couldnt find the "delete post" button. lol

I've only stayed at the Tropicana, but I would stay there again in a heartbeat! The room was very spacious, and the rooms were were recently redone. We stayed there in May 2010, and when we were checking out they were taking everything out of the rooms and putting in new furniture, flat screen TVs, etc.

We didn't take advantage of their breakfast at all, so I can't comment on that - honestly I would suggest taking a quick trip to Target down the street and getting some milk/cereal to have in the room. That's what we plan on doing the next time we visit.

Great tip... we won't have a car so unless we can walk it, it will not happen. :)

We have stayed at The Carousel and Tropicana.. We preferred Carousels breakfast and the rooms are a little bigger with a better fridge and microwave... Tropicana had a bigger pool, but I understand that Carousel has just revamped their pool... The view from the roof is excellent for the fireworks.

Thanks for the info! Not too worried about the pools, so as far as rooms, sounds like Carousel was your pick... I saw another thread that was debating PVI and Trop, and some users pointed out that PVI has less consistent positive reviews of this board and that is why they would stay away. However recently had seen them become for positive..
