HI. We are going to WDW 7-9 for six nights (a surprise trip for my birthday!).

I know it is going to be very very crowded. My thought was to do the parks early in the day then go back to the resort for swim, etc, Then in the evening go into a park to eat and maybe try to ride or see a show. My dh hates crowds and I was soooo surprised HE planned to go during such a busy time. Now, I want to make sure that we don't end up stressing him out trying to do and see things that we just can't.

What do you think about the crowd levels in the mornings? Will that be the best time to tour the parks or should I reverse my plans and do the parks at night?

Get to each park at least 30 minutes before it opens.

When the park opens, go directly to the rides...don't hang around and snack, shop or see characters. Have plan of what rides to go on first (the most popular ones).

Use Fast Pass. Always have a Fast Pass in your hand.

Take an afternoon break, then go out for dinner, maybe fireworks.

IMO, your plan is right on. That's what we did.

You get more done during the first two hours the park is open than during the next 4. Head right to the major headline attractions. (Soarin and TT in EP, Mountains and Buzz in MK, ToT and RnR in MGM, Safari in AK). The lines are shortest then, if not, FPs have the earliest return times. Get a FP for one big attraction and use the standby line for another. Often, the FP can be used when you get off the first attraction. After that, head for the other attractions that interest you.

Nights were crowded recently. Use them for less popular attractions and parades, fireworks, etc.
