We're going in Feb for the first time with our 3 boys who are 8, 12 & 14. We're staying on site for 1 night, but will probably buy 3 day tickets, since the third is free. Just wondering if we should get park to park or single park? We're mostly interested in Harry Potter, so we could do 2 days at I of A and 1 day at universal. Any advice?

check out www.universalorlando.com and look at the rides in both parks.

maybe that will help you decide if you want to stay in one park the entire day and on check out day from the hotel, do the other park then.

some people like to do 1.5 days in a park and only a partial day in the other.

if you know what all is in the park, that may help you decide how you want to do your tickets.

if you buy single day tickets, you can always upgrade them to park to park tickets while in the park.

My 12 year old daughter and I did our first Uni trip last August, and enjoyed the park to park tickets - We stayed onsite, and we did both parks all three days. Universal was open later, so even if we spent most of the day at IoA, we'd head to Universal Studios for the last two hours to hit the Mummy and Rip Ride Rockit a few more times, as well as the Simpsons area. IMO, it's worth the extra expense to have that flexibility.
