Park to park or regular shuttle?

We are staying at Beach Club next week. On Thursday, we are spending the morning in MK and then returning around 4 for MVMCP. Would you take the regular shuttle back and forth to our resort and then wait in the bag check line again at MK, or pay to take the park to park shuttle to Epcot, walk back to your resort, rest, do bag check at International Gateway and then hop back to MK via the shuttle....thus avoiding the long lines at MK at 4pm on a party day. Am I just making things more complicated than they need to be?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say pay. Park to park is free.

That said, I wouldn't go through Epcot, I would just go directly to my resort.

There is a new service that allows park-hopping, park-to-park (from and to INSIDE the parks,) for a fee.

LOTS of explanation and discussion (30+ PAGES of it) found HERE.

Yes, your definitely are! :teeth:

Part of the benefit of the park to park is skipping security, but you won't be doing that since you are going to your resort. And you'd be dropped off at Epcot completely opposite from where you want to be and have to traverse the entire park. You might as well walk out of the MK - it's less distance I believe. The lines at 4 move quickly - don't worry about that.

I would just take the regular shuttle and go through MK security twice. The EP park-to-park shuttle is in FW and it will take you longer to walk back and forth to the shuttle than to get through security in MK.

If you're going to use the park-to-park service at other times during your trip, I think I might be tempted to do it your way. You would know exactly when the bus was going to leave EP which could help maximize rest time. You would have a less crowded bus. And you miss some of the craziness out front at MK.

If this is the only time you'll be using the service, I'm not sure it would be worth the $15 pp to do it.

The new service which allows you to go park to park and enter behind-the-scenes (thus skipping bag check) is definitely not free.

OP, are you going to use this service throughout your trip? If so, you could just purchase and decide later. If not, I'm not sure it's worthwhile. You're going to be spending time walking to and from the bus stop at Epcot (and I'm not sure where the offstage bus stop location is there), and I'm not sure how much net time savings you'll get over waiting in line for bag check at Epcot.

Have there been reports yet about whether they will issue party wristbands at the express entrance? You might end up having to go find a wristband line inside the park anyway.

party wristbands are between Buzz and Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, so right around the corner from where the bus drops you off

Yes, someone already said that. But thank you.
