I hope no one minds, but I have a few extra questions that I couldn't really find answers for in the sticky :)

I looked on some of the recommended sites from the sticky and Staybridge Suites seems to *possibly* fit the bill. I'm just a little concerned because their shuttle service ends at midnight and my flight comes in after 11pm, so I'm looking at other possibilities. If I *were* to go with Staybridge, does anyone know what time they start breakfast at??

My other main question...has anyone booked any hotels that offer shuttles on anywhere like Hotwire or Priceline that included the parking? I will only need it for a week.

Any advice is most appreciated! First time and so overwhelmed :upsidedow

We had a situation where our flight was delayed and we got in from california at 1:30am. Staybridge was so awesome, they told us to hop in a cab and they paid for the cab. The driver just walked into the hotel with my hubby and it was excellent. You might want to email and ask tem if they would be willing to do that for you so that if you were after midnight you would have a confirmation email you could reference just in case they have changed their policy. I was very impressed with the whole stay there!

Priceline and hotwire do not offer parking in their rates.

What i do is use priceline for my room then park at the airport. The 2 combined are cheaper than a park and fly and then I don't have to worry about a shuttle later.

great idea!!! thank you so much!! :thumbsup2

is there a specific lot or place you can recommend to park?? i've seen parking spot, thrifty etc...:confused3

I've used the Parking Spot a number of times and love them! They pick you up right at your car, load the luggage into their shuttle and offer you a newspaper. When you return they're there quickly (if not already waiting), load your luggage into their shuttle, take you to your car and unload the luggage into your car and then when you leave each person in your vehicle is given a cold bottle of water! All that and they always have discount coupons online. I cannot say enough good things about The Parking Spot!!

The last two trips we have also just parked right at the airport and parked close enough to just walk into the terminal- maximum parking long term orange area there is $50 a week. We used priceline Christmas trip 2012 and ended up at the Day's Inn for $45 a night-perfect hotel for a night.

http://parking.buffaloairport.com/ There is a calculator on airport website that will tell you exactly how much your parking will be - just input your dates

Thanks so much everyone!! It definitely seems like the best deal for me will be getting a cheap hotel deal through somewhere like Hotwire & then just parking ourselves.

You guys are so helpful! This is why I love these boards :goodvibes

Try...

Quality Inn Airport (NY116)
4217 Genesee St., Buffalo, NY, US, 14225
which is literally right across the street from the airport. We booked a sleep & fly package on their website directly.

Being picky travellers..We were pleasantly surprised!
I have reserved it again for our next 2 trips.

We paid $117 (Including tax) for a room with 2 queen beds and 10 days of parking.

Breakfast started at 4am.
24 hr shuttle to the airport.

There is also a Mcdonalds on the one side of the parking lot.

It would have cost us $80 to park at the airport alone..so for $117 we couldn't go wrong.

There is courtesy phone right by the doors where you pick your luggage up when you return back to buffalo.

I just park right at the airport. The one lot is close enough to walk to the terminal if you want (still have shuttles). It cost me $55 for a week. There are also lots across the street that are a little cheaper. I loved not having to worry about a shuttle back to a hotel. Just got our luggage got to the car and headed home! By then I was tired of waiting for buses lol.

So the package includes hotel, breakfast, shuttle and parking at the hotel? It would be our first time to use Buffalo instead of Pearson and planned to rest there for the night before and after our flight. Our friend mentioned something like this but unsure how this works.

You will LOVE Buffalo Airport!

Yes, that was the Park & Fly total including taxes.
Here's the link below...just put your dates in and it will give you the P&F packages!

We live 45 min away from the Buffalo Airport but instead of waking up at the crack of dawn and driving in the snow we decided to try Sleep & Fly this time.
Best decision ever. We are able to relax and sleep in a few hours longer!

The Continental breakfast starts at 4am. The “bigger” breakfast I think starts at 6am.
There was plenty to eat though at 4am! Can’t complain.

When you check in you just tell them what time you want the shuttle to take you over to the airport.
One of the guys working behind the counter will zip you on over. When we returned we used the courtesy phone to call them for pick-up. By the time we got to the pick up area they were waiting for us.

We (More my husband) are very, very picky hotel guests. I don’t expect the Ritz at a cheap hotel but we expect clean.
He is the type of person that before we even put the luggage in the room he pulls the beds away from the wall..checks for bugs and other creepy crawlers.
He was the first to comment on how he would stay there again.

On their website it says a week of parking is including and each additional night is $7.
They didn’t charge any extra for the other 4 days of parking that we needed..they just wrote our return date on the little slip of paper that you have to keep in your car.

I checked all of the hotels with park and fly on this list of park and fly hotels and the Quality Inn came up with the lowest prices so yea, good choice. Also like the 24 hour shuttle in case flight gets in late.

After a horrible hotel stay one time in Orlando I now spend HOURS ..upon HOURS... researching hotels, reviews...etc... I will pick a few places and watch the reviews for months. My Dh thinks i'm crazy  This place fit the bill for us. Its an older hotel but is passed my DH's critique!
We didn't choose it because it was the cheapest either..we chose it because it had consistant good reviews and its location. It just happened to be the best price as well!

Thank you SO much for the recommendation, Vacation Junkie!! Best deal I've found by far! We also need the super early breakfast before our shuttle and that's not as easy to find.

your advice is very much appreciated, that's where we'll be staying :thumbsup2

If you stay at Quality Inn, be sure to sign up for Choice Privileges first. Although you may not get points if you book through a 3rd party like park, sleep, fly sometimes they will put you in newer rooms or offer complimentary stuff if you are a member of the points group for that hotel chain. I have yet to stay there (we LOVE Staybridge) but my good friend will stay no where else than Quality, she has nothing but good things to day about it!

No problem.

Since we only live literally 42 min's from our house to the Airport it was hard to convince DH to do Sleep & Fly in the 1st place.

But now that we've stayed there and realized it was a much more relaxed option its a much for future trips.

Have a great stay & trip!

I was wondering the same about parking. We are debating getting a hotel or not. I don't think we will be able to sleep and flight leaves at 6:40am (I think that's right) so we'll need to be there for about 4:30am. so we might just leave our city at 11:30pm and drive straight to the airport (about 3 hours plus however long the border will take).
This is great to know how much parking will be though! Love that they have a calculator to help you plan.

I believe you only need to be there 90 mins before your flight.
