Park reservations with split stays

We normally do split stays, preferring to not have the same resort food options for the entire trip, plus trying to stay closer to different parks on parts of the trip. However, we're wondering how split stays will affect making park reservations. Is it like FP's where we'd have better luck later in our trip rather than the 1st or 2nd day?

We may or may not have AP's next summer (depending on how Disney treats the issue of us not wanting to travel until next summer, and what they will do about our 9 months remaining time) I've read how Disney is unfairly treating the AP holders with only allowing them 3 park days, but I'm not sure about how it all works with room reservations. If our trip is divided in to 3 different reservation numbers, staying at 3 different resorts, will that change the number of days we can get park reservations for? What is the limit for park reservations if you have AP's with split stays?

What if we have regular multi-day tickets, will there be any cons for park reservations with the split stays? I will be making our rescheduled family trip reservations soon and would like to know what to expect with park reservations if we have split stays. I need to know how to book the rooms.

Thank you for your help!

We are staying at 3 resorts in July and August, split stays. We have APs. We had no issue booking all our park days (13 days)...once we could get into the system opening day. Our days are still wide open for resort guests. We didn't bother trying to get the 3 AP days as we'll be at Disney resorts for our whole stay.

I have a split stay in April. April 1-3/April 3-10. I have 2 day tickets attached to the first stay and 6 day attached to the second. I had the parks booked for the second stay first because I needed to add tickets for the first and the phone lines were crazy. I wasn’t able to book both April 1 & 2 as park days because it was taking my April 4 Park day and using the 2 day ticket on my first stay instead of the 6 day ticket on my second. So I just cancelled the April 4 Park day and then booked both the 1&2 and rebooked the 4th with no problems.

Hopefully we get to go!

We have a split stay for Aug 2020, staying at 3 different resorts for a total of 10 nights/11 days. We have AP's. I was able to book park reservations for all 11 of our days..
