Forgive me if this sounds like a silly question but I am not sure how Universal at Orlando works (I'm in LA with only one universal park).
Do you have to make a theme park reservation? Like Disney World used to? (Still does?)
Also, is there a park hopper option like Disney World has, or is it only one park, per day. If it does park hop does that include Volcano Bay?
Please and thank you in advance?

No reservation needed at Universal Orlando.

Unlike Disneyland, you don't have to make a park reservation with the current date-based tickets at Disney World.

Yes, it's called a park-to-park ticket.

You have to add the Volcano Bay option to your park-to-park ticket(s).

You select tickets for 2 or 3 parks. And you select if you would like one park per day (base tickets) or park-to-park. After May 22, there is also an option to add a day at Epic Universe to your tickets.

You will need park-to-park tickets to ride the Hogwarts Express. The two main parks are literally adjacent so park hopping takes about a 4min walk between the gates.

Depending when you're traveling, they offer "extra days" promos frequently. The lower tier Seasonal AP is also surprisingly affordable and can net you some really good hotel discounts.
