Park report: they're finally enforcing the no-running rule! + park pics

One other thing I saw on Sunday that I forgot to mention: a young couple (late teens, early 20s) was escorted out of the park by security CMs (SCMs) . There was one SCM in the lead, the couple behind her and two SCMs that brought up the rear. That's only the third time in my life that I've seen that but I spoke with an acquaintance about it later and she said that it's a daily occurrence. I suspect when things like that happen, Disney likes to keep it discreet. And rightly so.

We were season passholders for a decade and let our passes expire last August. We decided to get new passes and went a few weeks ago. I also have NEVER seen the “no running” rule enforced in the past. In fact, I have watched guests zip past cast members at ridiculous speeds without anything said to them. But when we were in the parks a few weeks ago, they were definitely enforcing the “no running” rule. We weren’t even there at rope drop but entered CA about 30 mins after EMH started. We showed our DLH room key to the cast member and started making our way to GG when the couple behind us took off running for the ride. By the time we caught up with them (walking), so had a cast member who asked for their hotel keys and tickets and told them to “walk with him” as he inspected them. I don’t know how far he walked them, but I am guessing he walked them all the way back to the rope and made them wait for rope drop or walked them back to the rope and made them walk back to their destination. I’ll admit it makes me giggle thinking about either possibility.

I also saw two people being escorted from the park. We were heading to the rideshare pickup on Harbor and security made them cross Harbor and wouldn’t even allow them to walk through the pickup area. I’ve never seen that before, but I guess they have to make sure they are completely off Disney property.
