Park Hours

Hi All
We have been going to Disney as a family for 16 years. We are booked for May 7-14 at Beach Club. It is our first time deluxe. Our dining reservation date is Nov 8th (This Thursday). We always like to map out our entire stay in terms of parks and dining. I see that Disney is now posting hours 6 months out, but doing it day by day. Today, Nov 5th has hours through May 4th 2019. My travel agent is telling me that is Disney current policy. In every past trip we were able to map out our whole week, knowing magic hours for every day. Now it seems while I can reserve dining for my whole stay on Nov. 8th, I wont know the hours of each park for my entire stay until Nov 15th. Is this accurate? Also, if this is the case, will the previous week's schedule be mostly accurate? Input please

Disney adjusts hours ( usually expanding hours) several times the closer you get to a particular date. EMH usually are
MK: Friday AM, Wednesday PM
Epcot: Thursday AM, Tuesday PM
DHS: Sunday AM
AK: Monday, Saturday AM

If there is a new land or attraction opening or if you are traveling during a busy time they may offer more...

to give an example...

Our park hours for a mid DEC trip were originally all 9A-8p but now we are seeing at least one 7 AM opening and several 11:30 or 12 closings especially at Magic Kingdom... They will likely expand hours once more

Hard to tell. Looking at the hours from last year can give you a clue as to this years hours. Disney seems to change park hours a few weeks, days before up to day of.

Epcot hours are not typically changed. Otherwise, for the other parks, you are better off looking at last year's hours for that week than you are looking at what is currently posted for your trip dates.

Quick Question

Is there any pattern or typical time of the month that hours are updated or is it pretty fluid? I know that in the past Disney released more up to date hours to travel agents first but does anyone have more up to date knowledge? Im now getting the impression that the hours get updated much more “last minute”

If you have ever looked at Touringplans, they have a schedule that is the best-guess scenario based on past history and other known bits of data. That's what I'd go on. We're going in May as well, and I'm relying on their predictions for the park hours, which right now are significantly different than the official hours Disney (and most other touring advice sites) have posted.

For example, TP is telling me MK is open until 11 pm on 5-23. The park hours right now are officially only until 9pm. This did give me a bit of a panic as I had spent so much time planning our day- until I realized TP's data was a likely projection, and not an error!

:welcome: geezy!
