Park Hours

Hi guys,

I may be losing my marbles but i'm sure when we in DLP last March the park hour closing was 8pm, this year it is 6pm.

Did anyone else go last March that can confirm/deny this!

Like I said, I think I may be losing my marbles but part of me wonders, how do you get to have dinner in say, the Blue Lagoon if you have to be out by 6pm?

you`re correct as we went march 6th last year and the park ws open til 8pm,i was quite gutted that it shuts at 6pm this ,problem is the kids are going to want to spend in the village instead of being able to herd them back to the hotel shattered!!

Yea since May last year a new system for opening hour's has been in place - called "Demand Based Hours".

So basically during quiet times the park closes at 6pm, while at busier times (such as easter and weekends) the park stays open until 10pm.

So some people win others loose - but the method of thinking is if the park is quiet you will be able to do everything in 8 hours - considering the lines are shorter.

The Studios always closes at 6pm or 7pm (from late next month for the first time since 2002!)

Does this mean that you can't have dinner at Park Restaurants and what happens with Main Street at the 6pm closing time, does it also close at 6pm so therefore denying dinner at Walt's etc?

Sorry to bombard you with all the questions but my plans are now up in smoke so I want to try and rectify them before I go next week.

Paula-Jane, I can remember another poster making reservations for Walt's and Blue Lagoon for 6pm on days when the park closes at that time.

Main Street's shops stay open another 30 mins -> 1 hour after closing.

I must admit not being 100% sure on the resturant reservations, some people have been able to be seated at 6pm - though others have been told they are closed. The best thing to do is ring Resturant Reservations and asking, as they seem to change their minds on it everyday.

Yes, I have made adrs for Walts and Blue Lagoon for 6pm in March, we travel in 10 days.
