Park hours in October

I know that the park hours for October aren´t out yet but I was wondering if anyone knew how they are usually (last year, for example)?

Are there any fireworks in October?

I'm interested as well. We are making our first trip to Disneyland after many trips to DW. Our schedule is to arrive Friday, Oct. 15 and leave the next Tues. Sun/Mon will be spent at the parks, but I can't decide whether Sat. should be spent there as well or at the beach.

DCA is usually 10-6 M-Th, DL 10-8 M-Th. Fri, Sat and Sun later. It varies. Usually DL won't close before 10 with Sat generally being the latest day. I think it also opens as early as 9 on sat (and maybe Sun)

DCA on the weekends is usually open until 9 with occasionally a 10pm closing. The only time it generally closes later than 10 is New Years Eve.

DCA will only have longer hours than DL if there is something special going on at DL and it is closing early.

Electric parade will probably be on the weekends. Fantasmic and fireworks may or may not be on the weekends. The past few years they've generally either had fireworks or fantasmic, on weekends, but rarely had both. Really there's no way to tell.

We were there last year in October and DL stayed open until midnight the sat. nite we were there. They did have Fantasmic at least once but no fireworks. It was a great time to go however, crowds weren't bad except on Saturday and even then it was manageable. Also the Haunted Mansion was decorated for the holidays. Small World was not open however as it was being redone for xmas.
