Due to our daughters spring break our dates are flexible in that we can travel/stay of DLR anytime between Mon 3/30 to Thu 4/9.

We are only doing a 3day/2night stay at DLR either onsite or off site.. still TBD.

My question is this, I'd like to avoid the crowds as much as possible and we really prefer to go on a Sun to Tuesay or Mon to Wed type of stay, however I do want my girls to see Fantasmic and maybe a parade at DCA.

Can you help me by making suggestions.. if I go those days am I really risking not being able to see those shows?

Please make suggestions as to what to do and what window would provide the best chance at seeing one of those shows... March/April entertainment schedules aren't out yet.

Well....

As of right now, Fantasmic! is running through March since there are no parades and (virtually) no fireworks due to the Main Street work. At this point, there is no information that says Fantasmic! will still be showing after March. So that may be a non-issue for you. You may have a DL parade and fireworks at that point. DL has not provided that information yet.

It is anyone's guess at this point just what entertainment will be at DLR in during your dates.

What type of 'work' is going on? and when will it finish?

I think we are going March 15 -18. I'm a total DL newbie but a WDW vet.

They're repaving the ground on Main Street and around the hub. They're doing sections at a time. It's supposed to be finished sometime in March, but I don't think the official date is known yet.

Is this affecting what goes on in that park? How bad does it look?

From pictures I've seen right now there are walls up towards the middle of Town Square in front of City Hall, it looks like they're adding handicapped-dipped curbs. I don't know if I can do a direct link, but google Mice Age and it's the newest update that has pictures.

It doesn't look that bad. They have refurb walls up towards the backside of the Emporium closest to the Fire Station and I know they have scaffolding up at the Plaza Inn because they're doing some retouch painting.

Bummer....if we make this trip it might be the only time I get to see DL, or at the very least I won't be back for a VERY LOOONG time.
