Park hours/EMH confusion....

I just realized The DIS has the BEST version of monthly park hours!!!!! I am cutting out each days "box" and putting it in my passporter.

But, I'm a little confused with the extra magic hours. For instance for May 10th MGM has morning EMH, but its listed as 9am-9pm, so that means they open at 8am, right?? But what about the nighttime hours for AK. Its listed as 9am-5pm, but how do you know how much longer they stay open?? Is it an hour or three hours?? I hate how disneyworld.com says "up to 3 hours later". Is it always 3 hours??? So would AK be open till 8pm.

Are EMH's lots more crowded?? Should they be avoided?? I made some PS's that we can't change and they fall on EMH days and it has me concerned that the parks will be super crowded.

EMH occurs before the published hours in the morning and after the published hours in the evening.

Evening EMH is usually 3 more hours but could be less.

Was at Disney after New Years (2005) and happened to choose the park with evening EMH on two days, the park seemed more crowded than I expected for the time of year but not enough information to conclude that the EMH park is more crowded in general.
