How do you make dining reservations when you don't know park hours yet? Dining reservations are open for March 24 but park hours only posted thru March 6. Want to book a breakfast ressie but not sure what time. If park opens at 10, we'll go before that. If park opens at 9, we could do breakfast at 10-1030.

There is one entrance at the gate for ADR's to go in prior to park opening if you have an earlier reservation. Take you best guess at what you want and you can always make changes once the park hours are posted.

I know we could get in with ADR. The restaurant is in GCH, so not even in the park. The question is whether I need an 8 o'clock ADR or 10:30. Do I make both & cancel one later?

I would reserve both and then cancel one of them later.

The way they post hours and entertainment (especially) is infuriating, but the good news is that restaurant reservations are not nearly as competitive as WDW. I'm not sure what it's like for character meals, but other than Blue Bayou everything else should have plenty of availability until just before your visit.

You can sometimes make an educated guess about the operating hours for Disneyland based on the operating hours for the Plaza Inn breakfast. Starting from March 11, I would guess that DLR is switching over to their "Spring Break Season" schedule and opening at 8:00 am (select mornings have EHM/MM, in which case some guests get in at 7:00 am).

Wow, that's early. I didn't know they ever opened at 7. I see a week in February where they open at 9, but the next week it goes back to 10.

If the park opens at 8:00 am to day guests (happens pretty commonly on weekend and then during the peak season), then EMH/MM will start at 7:00 am (on applicable days).
